He was a serviceable extra defenseman. I seem to remember him even looking pretty impressive in a fight against Orr, not to long before we claimed Orr on waivers.

Bickel is a much better skater and a significantly better defenseman.

But there are some serious similarities.

Struds wasn't exploited for his lack of speed because any line but the Jagr one only played defense for those Ranger teams anyways. And it was always Rozy and Malik with the Jags line.

I wasn't alive to see the '94 team nor have I seen a team play like this team yet. I never loved a team like I do with the Rangers, it's really a honor to be a Ranger fan and watching the Rangers play every night. What I love about the Rangers is we don't have to most skilled team, we play with grit and they pour heart's out every single god dam night to get the W. I love this team.

Just wanted to say the Rangers 3rd jersey is absolutely beautiful.

Also nice to see Richards turn it up as of lately bodes well for the real season.

Time will tell. Bickel also has the benefit of playing with on a better team, especially defensively. Flaws and all, Strudwick did play more than 600 NHL games.

Its kinda funny, we were talking about Rosival. I honestly wouldn't mind him back anchoring our bottom pair. Funny how these things play out.

Didn't catch it, what did he say? MSG didn't include him in their post game video online.

EDIT: Can't find video but found the quote:

Nice. Beat Bruins on Sunday and the only way Pens take over #1 seed is if they win all 4 of their remaining games and we lose all of our games in regulation. Feels good.

It's funny because half of the people on here wanted Boyle gone couple months ago.

I am still not super happy with him as our third line center. I am going to hope he can translate some of his recent success into the playoffs(I think if he gets used as a mirror line against elite teams he might get exposed-his skating is still an issue). But I am still skeptical.

Remember, he had a real strong game in Carolina. He then proceeded to have really bad stretch of games. He has found his game recently, I am hoping he proves me wrong.
