You're still up by one point in our match...hopefully my goalies don't **** the bed tomorrow and have you winning in GAA and save%.

Also, didn't watch most of the game but it's good to see the result. Del Zaster another strong game, sounds like Staal had a good game, and Gabby is one closer to 40, plus BR keeps playing like an elite center. I'm all for it.

Also, it's a real possibility Richie ends the season with 70 points, which would be fantastic.

He (JS) played for my brothers (he is GM) team this year in SWeden. Says he is a stand-up guy - both on & off the ice...

After tonight, things are looking awesome! We can sweep the Flyers and Bruins this season, how great would that be?

A difference today, when comparing to the stretch they had the past 2ish months where they didn't play that well, is how fast they closed down the space when people were in their zone. For example, if the puck went back to a Montreal defenseman at the point, the winger got out and up really fast to take away the shooting lane. Also, when the puck went into the boards, the Rangers were really quick at getting there and preventing the Canadiens from digging it out and setting up a play. I think the most obvious example was Staal in the end of the 3rd period where the was just bouncing people off the puck repeatedly in the defensive zone.

In general, they just looked a lot fresher and faster than usual. That's a really good sign!
They've actually been doing that for the past week or so especially in the closing half of the 3rd period it's been very noticeable even without sam and joe pointing it out every game. Great neutral zone D and pressure on the puck carrier nobody gets easy entry into our zone. They were hurt for a month guys were out, other guys were put in increased roles as a result, Hank had his one off month plus a bout with the flu and had to get his timing back it happens. Clearly the Goduins two losses to the Isles shows what many seem to ignore around here which is that an 82 game schedule has highs and lows. What matters now is finishing strong and winning some playoff games. Don't worry bout the ole chant and your "jinx" that stuff isn't real.

Also surprised no thread for this but really coutning down Hank to 40 wins. Really want to see him hit that mark. Gabs to 40, Cally to 30.

Nice win, too bad the Sabres couldn't take down the Pens. Not that I'm complaining about the 5 pt cushion, but 7 would've been better.

Haha, is that you I am playing in league 1? I hope it comes down to a Sunday nailbiter. I pulled two wins out of my ass last Sunday. One against a guy who was inactive all week and I was furious I almost lost to him in the semis.

That isn't true. Most people wanted him on the 4th line; and still do.

Only got to see the last 10 of the 3rd period. So pissed Hank lost his shutout.

How about that "Del Zaster" though?

I guess this was a "semi blowout".

Nice win... 3 more points until we clinch 1st.

Who do you guys think we'll play in Round 1 if we clinch 1st?

I'm thinking that the return of Backstrom will spark the Caps to finish real strong and take the SE. Shootouts will come back to haunt FLA and will finish 8th.

Devils fans collectively **** their pants.

He may not have been the best player, but he's just a guy you want to cheer for.

Exactly. Which means that sometimes a player who does one thing really well is better than a player who does several things kinda well.

We will see what the future holds for Big Stu. But something tells me he might not be nearly as effective in a different system.

Not sure if they showed it on the MSG broadcast but at the Garden last night they did a nice little intro for Torts' friend Liam, who was at the game with his family. He got a nice ovation from the fans which was a really nice moment.

Awesome to hear.

Didn't catch the game due to work but I heard they kept showing Knicks highlights and it wound up being booed. Happy to hear that as well
