Kari need not play. If we've learned one thing it's to never give Kari both starts on a back-to-back. Gulutzan won't get this though.

Might as well call it a loss. B2B is the Stars worst enemy this season. Oh and Pardy, Morrow and others you guys can throw in.

If they win i'll buy everyone a beer.

Really wish Gulutzan would stick to keeping Morrow on the 4th line...

I just accidentally typed that Morron...

At least he didn't take long to put him back on the 4th last night. Did it even last half a period last night?

Doesn't even need to be on the 4th. Should sit in the press box.

Eriksson - Ribeiro - Ryder
Vincour/Ott - Benn - Smith
Vincour/Ott - Fiddler - Wandell
Burish - Dowell - Garbutt

Please Please Please. It won't happen, but that's what I want to see. Maybe switch Wandell and Garbutt, I don't really know about the bottom 6. It's such a mess down there right now.

Well Nystrom's back on Tuesday, hopefully....could definitely use a spark after last night's debacle.

Honestly though, if they bring the same game of the first two periods, they should win. Niemi would not even come close to making the saves Schneider did through 2.

That said, I doubt we'll see anything like the chances we got last night.

I agree on both points. They played well enough to win until it mattered. They have to play 60 minutes which has not been the case recently, but at least one of last night's issues was a fantastic 1st and 2nd period by Schneider.

On your 2nd point, it's the 2nd night of a back to back ... that's not an acceptable excuse, but that's the reality of this team. B2B's are hard ... but everyone plays in them ... and few (if any) are as bad as this team this year.

I've set the bar at OT/SO loss. I can live with that. Unfortunately, I was really hoping a win last night would also come with an OT/SO loss tonight, but no such luck.

They need 3 points in the next 2 games to really give themselves the advantage this final week. It probably comes down to SJ and Dallas for 8th place so head to head + (LAx2 vs. NSH/STL).

Hopefully PHX and/or LA will stumble against non-playoff competition, but you can't expect/count on someone else's failure to get you in. Plus last year, Chicago gift wrapped a playoff berth for the Stars and they squandered it. At this point, it's up to Dallas to force their way into the playoffs ... something they were unable to do last year.

That said, I doubt we'll see anything like the chances we got last night.
I'm hoping they decide to continue the Reilly Smith 2nd line expiriment... Better than Morrow or Burish there I think.

Smith doesn't even have to try to be better than Morrow on that 2nd line right now.

I wish they would just put him back on IR, there's no reason to keep playing him.

Cause they don't want to accept that he's not the player he use to be. This is merely an off season in their mind (instead of last season being the fluke of one).

Morrow for Kessel go go go!! jk of course. But yeah he needs to be on IR or scratched. He isn't healthy and i can't see why they let him play. Give someone who is healthy the time.
