Bennrocks, thanks for the work. Check out Robidas .1 drawn penalties. Impressive. Most impressive.
FF,
I am queen youth movement but with the cap situation there was no way Sceviour was coming up early. Then later we're winning and they're not going to screw around with that. Considering the ice time young guys get here I'm actually kinda happy Fraser has been left to tear up the AHL. They called up Garbutt but Sawada is the epitome of warm bodies.
Hopefully they can find a taker for one of Robidas, Morrow or Ott and play a few kids next off season. The cap dropping actually helps hide the fact that Gagliardi isn't going to to make it rain and allows some of these kids to play.
I'd rather watch a young talented team that struggles with consistency aka the Islanders than a pathetic old gutless team shrivel up and disappear when it matters aka Dallas/Calgary this season.
Find one decent d-man and throw the kids out there. It would be honest at least.
Benn surprises me. I don't notice him take many penalties.
Really not sure how Ott is only .2 more than him.
Morrow has almost twice as many penalty minutes as Benn does in 10 less games.
Ott has three times as many penalty minutes as Benn does in about 10 more games.
I turned it on to hear him, "It's good to go home."
Then changed it.
You know what's the worst part of this? After the win against Calgary before the road trip, he was talking about how their game isn't where they need it to be, and how they're looking forward to going out on the road and playing simple.
Now they're eager to go home to fix their game? This guy's just playing for the off-season at this point. Get these idiots off my team please.
“I was a little bit worried about this game coming in. We’ve never been good in back-to-backs. The whole road trip, I was most disappointed with the Calgary game. We’d be sitting in a different situation in a winnable hockey game. But we are where we are and, like I said, we still control our own destiny. We don’t need someone to beat somebody else. We just need to win our last three games.”
He's right about Calgary, but the team was supposed to learn something from that ******** of the bed. "Just win the last 3 games?" Such an easy task when they can't even show up for the past 2 nights.
Obviously this group is dumb if they can't get the answer to their problems.
Get puck, hold on to puck, skate with puck, draw penalties/score goals.
"We have to play less frustrated when adversity hits. That's going to change," Gulutzan said. "I'll be glad to go back to Saskatchewan if we don't get out of this but at the end of the day, we're going to do it the way we're going to do it. We're going to be men. We're going to have character. We're going to shut our mouths and we're going to play. And if that's not good enough, then so be it." - 22 Dec.

We're going to be men - Fail
We're going to have character - Huge fail
We're going to shut out mouths - Biggest fail of the season (yay Morrow)
We're going to play - Fail
honestly I wouldn't care one bit if Gaglardi did a complete sweep of the organization. Some of us may like Nieuwendyk or Gulutzan and think they've done decent jobs with limited resources but I doubt we'd be missing them next December. The Stars need an entirely new image from the top down.
The only thing that makes me optimistic is that I have a feeling this won't go over very well with Gaglardi.
