Can you believe I actually felt bad for Brian Boucher, and to top it off was glad when he stopped Kovy's shorthanded breakaway?
I was glad when he stopped that cause I didn't wanna see him get pulled, and Cam Ward who plays better against us or better yet he plays better when Marty is on the other side than any other team or goaltender he plays against.
80 point season for the best player on our team, not a shock. I'm predicting that he'll reach another level in the playoffs and be the best player in the league.
I'm so ****ing stoked, I missed playoff hockey so bad last year. This is going to be awesome no matter what. Glad the boys didn't go all out either, there's more business to attend to.
I'm glad Kovy scored in front of Maclean ya know for his team, and ya know not for his Maclean's team ya know.
I'll keep my bashing on Maclean to a halt until we play his team next season.
Have to point out though. I can gladly say Maclean was the cause of the problems last year. It's no coincidence we pretty much sucked consistently from his arrival to about 10 games after Lemaire took over, and are back in the playoffs again. We sucked a lot in the 2010 part of 09/10, but not as much as under Maclean.
Not taking anything away from Pete at all I'm really happy with him, and for him. It's funny a guy who coached the last place team in the East last year took us back to where we are most seasons. Last year was completely Maclean's fault, and with this playoff clinch I can gladly say that with no debate whatsoever. It's odd we clinched in front of him. I almost feel a little bad for Johnny Mac seeing Pete Deboer take pretty much most of the same team to 96 points that he couldn't even win 10 games out of 30 with.
I'll never boo Maclean just like I don't boo Gomez except for when he was with the Rangers. I won't boo him cause we don't have him anymore, and he isn't causing us problems no more, and he was one of my favorite players. If I was at a game, and he was announced assistant coach in the intros for Carolina I wouldn't boo nor would I boo for a 95 Stanley Cup team pregame honor. I am glad to say he isn't coaching for us, and sincerely glad he was brought in by another team though doing what he loves coaching.
They cant take away the clinch, but they may take away a few 2012 draft picks.
Actually there is a clause hidden about shootout wins.......
Seriously though would anyone be surprised if the NHL changed the point system where teams who benefit from the shootout like the Devils can only get 1 point for a shootout win? This will also have to mean OT loser point is washed away.
That or something like a maximum of 10 shootout wins with 2 points, and anything over is 1 point? I can actually see that happening.

Some guys are just better assistant coaches.....he was decent in that role for us for quite while and he did do well when head coach of Lowell. Me thinking he struggles with the egos of the big boys instead of the young and up and coming players.
