^^^^Did you go to the Preds-Avs game in Denver in January? I was there with a buddy of mine that now lives there.
I did!
christmas present from the parentals! I had 2 seats behind the avs penalty box. great experience, also friendly trash talking with avs fans = some of the best! keep in mind iv ebeen to over 100 preds home games. Also had friends in nose bleeds, so I went and spent the third with them. theyre casual fans but still had a blast! cant wait til april 7th.
EDIT: if you were looking at the jumbotron, 2nd period?, my buddies in the nosebleeds were in the row they received free tee shirts, lol, they were all pretty drunk, so seeing them on camera in front of 15,000 ppl, scrambling for tshirts was priceless!

haha I was in......I don't know what section....but it was the goal we attacked twice, basically on the goal line to Varlamov's left if he's looking up ice...in the 3rd row. I had a gold Fisher jersey and my friend had his blue Tootoo one.
As far as being drunk. Boy was I ever.........that altitude did me something fierce and a half. And my tolerance is usually pretty high. Ironically......worst hangover I've ever had was the morning of that Preds-Avs game from the night before when I got into town. I recovered quite nicely though I'd say. But man I dunno what it was but it was bruuuuutal.
Behold, my Facebook picture for now almost 3 months running after the game ended:
My buddy is from TN but moved to Denver last year. I was trying to go out for this Saturday's game but I wasn't able to do it. He'll be there but I won't. I really had a good time. He lives basically downtown about a mile or so from the arena and we walked downtown to some shopping/eating area then took that free train/shuttle thing to the arena. Had a blast.
Let's do this. Down with the Dirty Wings!!! Let's lock up the 4 seed on Saturday. We might even lock it up before our game even starts. We are all Blackhawks fans on Saturday afternoon.
-Hawks in regulation puts them in 5th. Wings in 6th. (101pts each, Hawks with the tiebreak)
-Wings with an OTL puts them in 5th and us in 4th no matter what. (Hawks at 101pts, Wings at 102, Us at 102+ and we hold the tiebreak)
-A Preds OTL or win secures 4th even if the Wings win vs Chicago.

Willy said on the radio that these are the scenarios:
-Hawks win in regulation OR overtime puts them in 5th, Wings in 6th, and us clinching 4th regardless of what happens in our last game. (Hawks win in a shootout keeps them in 6th.)
- Any form of Wings win puts them in 4th and us in 5th, forcing us to win our last game if we want to reclaim home ice.
- If we get any points in our last game, we get 4th regardless of what happens.
What's really interesting is that the Wings and Hawks play at noon while we don't play until that night. So if the Hawks win, we will have the 4th seed sewn up already and will have an opportunity to rest our top players if we choose to.
The Hawks and Wings are basically playing for the chance to play us. Wonder if they'd rather play us or LA...
willy is wrong... if hawks win in overtime .. detroit would finish ahead of chicago. chicago must win in regulation to jump detroit.. in which case, we would have 4th place regardless of our result with colorado..
check my post in the GDT for scenarios.. and for them to be accurate

I thought the Wings had the tie-break on Chicago already, or is it decided by Saturday's game if they own the tiebreak?

Why does it matter if it's regulation or overtime? Either one would result in a ROW. The only thing that wouldn't is a shootout win.
with detroit still having a chance at the 4 seed I expect them to play hard and try to win... it would have been really interesting if all that had been on the line was 5vs6... if that was the case it might have turned into a South Park little league game...
We play wings first round plain and simple. Even if hawks beat wings 7-0 they will be tied in points but wings have more wins and are seeded above hawks.

That's how I thought it worked anyways
Wins don't matter. It's non-overtime wins. If they are tied in points, tied in non-overtime wins, it goes to a head to head situation. If the Blackhawks win, they will have beaten Detroit head-to-head on the season.
