That is what two other people who haven't posted here said about my thread started on March 31. I find it amusing that people still think that it is too early. I don't believe in waiting for the puck to drop.

As long as we get the win or to OT against Colorado we have the 4 seed. We have more ROW's than Detroit so we get one point or more, we have the four seed. Willy was wrong.

A Chicago regulation win and we don't play Detroit, hence, this and your earlier threads are premature.
Go Hawks!! win in regulation No one should want Detroit (another one and done season)
I want Detroit. Beating Chicago would be nice, it would be a great series to watch for sure. But beating Detroit would be sweet, it would mean so much more for the long time fans, those who suffered through the first seasons with the "Pred Wings", and then the first playoff series with them. Everything the Preds are has been linked to the Wings and we must beat them in the playoffs, it just has to happen and at some point it will. I'm hoping for this sooner rather than later. Hoping for NOW!
Detroit's last win in regulation was the blowout of Columbus. Since then they are 2-3-0 with both wins in OT or the shootout. They are dangerous, but, far from dominant.
I think I've finally decided I would "rather play" Chicago, but I think some people are afraid of Detroit based on reputation. No one can deny that they aren't the same team as usual this season. I'm not saying they won't do damage in the playoffs but it would surprise me this season.

I think some of the same reputation exists towards Chicago, though they definitely don't have the same team they did when they won the Cup...
But neither does Detroit, for that matter.
It would be possible to play Detroit, Chicago, and Vancouver in the same playoff year (with a little luck if St. Louis gets taken out). That would be 3 monkeys in 1 year. The Sharks would be a possibility as well. But let's not get ahead of ourselves...
The moral of the story, if you play Detroit don't let them score their first goal cause once they do they pour it on and/or take it to a whole another level to come back. They came back to beat us w/ 5 secs left in the game and they came back to tie Chicago w/ 30 secs left in the game. So the game is never over w/ the Redwings until there is 0 secs left in the game.
Any call there comes down to if it was determined to be worthy of a penalty shot. Stalberg got his scoring chance although there was a weak hook. The Wings never played the puck to get a whistle and send Kronwall to the box.
We get home ice. Wings coming to visit sometime next week. Get the Tums ready.
I visited the DRW thread. One prediction of Nashville in 7, one of DRW in 4. I am down for Nashville in 6. They are on "Nashville fan alert" thanks to me!
