He showed some good discipline too. He had a chance to get involved and take himself off the ice in the process, but he didn't and I think mentally that was a boost to Columbus and a big negative for St. Louis.
In football, we used to recognize guys in film sessions for a good walk-away. Those are cases where one of our guys draws a stupid penalty (usually a late hit), and doesn't retaliate. We get a 15-yard bonus and a first down, or else they're knocked 15 yards, and the added bonus is that it's really annoying to the team that did it if there's no retaliation. The yards alone makes it valuable strategically, but there's a momentum shift associated with the mental game.
Dorsett had a couple of good walk-aways against St. Louis, which is an improvement over previous years and even within this season. He's certainly come a long way in all aspects of his game.
