One point tonight is all we need to clinch. Hopefully they get it done especially since I'll be there, should be rockin in there tonight. LGB!
Plus it's the first time we're icing our full lineup in 160 games

Very important to win tonite. Columbus is playing better, Blues can't afford a letdown.
FYI - it's Game #79, not 78

Agreed, that might have been his worst game as a Blue. Painful to watch

I've heard it is Jaro, not seen it confirmed though. His last 10 home games he is 10-0-0, 4 shutouts, 0.99 GAA and a .960 save %. Have to go back 15 home games to find his last regulation loss.

I think Halak was always a better home than away goalie.

Tend to agree, but 13 of his last 16 starts overall have been on the road!

Might be good reason to go with Elliott in Game 3 in the 1st round.
I won't say give Elliott both games 3 and 4 because I think Halak needs to play on the road at some point in the playoffs. Game 3 is always a pivotal one, though. It either puts the series out of reach at 3-0 or it gives one team a huge 2-1 lead.
For the record, the home/road splits for Halak show a huge edge to starting him at home while Elliott has been great everywhere.

"Tonight, it's Carlo," Hitchcock said. "Right now, we're a group of eight, (Ian) Cole included, and we'll see how things work out. Like I said, it's a player's chance, the 20 that are in,
it's their chance to shine, and if someone doesn't shine, they're out, and somebody's in, it's just the way it is at this time of year."

So what your saying is Chris Stewart won't be in the lineup come playoff time

Elliott Should this game. Halak is coming off a loss, Elliott, a shutout.
No questions who should be starting in my mind.

I think it is good to get Halak back in there and let him rebound from a shaky game in Chicago, try and get him hot before the playoffs

This has to be the first time history a goalie has 3 consecutive shutouts and doesn't start the next 2 game when healthy.

If not for Jaro, we wouldn't of got a point in Chicago. That is Hitch's reasoning for this.

I keep sticking up for Stewart, but what
Hitch is saying is - It's the playoffs now, you don't produce, you sit. This means you, Stewie.
