VIDEO
Blue Rodeo band intro "Trust Yourself" intro is too risky to upload. UMG claiming copyright with the music. Great video and song, too bad.

I expect a convincing win. Fans will be rocking, lineup fully healthy, coming off a disappointing effort in Chicago, Columbus is coming in quite tired. One of those 5-1 type games.

Alright quick question:
For those who have watched Tarasenko or have followed him closely, is he more of a goal-scorer or more of a play-maker ?

It is tough to answer that, because it depends on personal definitions of each role! The kid does everything so well. He creates his own chances from nothing, and is the catalyst for the offense when he is on the ice. His shot is excellent and is always willing to shoot, but isn't always the "shoot first" player that typical goal scorers are. I guess that makes him more of a play-maker. But on the PP, he is the guy you'd want to get it to for the shot.

Time to bench him.
But in all seriousness, I think it will be tough to score against Halak after this.

That was a fantastic pass there too. Blues are looking good thus far, despite the goal for Columbus.

Backes!!!! Another quick answer goal, like in Chicago!
Great pass by Shattenkirk and great move by Backes to fake and hold onto the puck, rather than the goalie-expected re-direct.

Columbus is continuing to ust send their forwards for breakouts, and so far, The Blues' team defence has been caught offguard. I hope this isn't going to be a goalfest for both teams. The Blues might lose a game like that on sheer luck of the bounce of the puck. They're better off to tighten up their defence and just jump on jackets' errors.
Power Play now. Got to take advantage and score. McDonald only on the 2nd shift, however. I'd have liked to see him on the first.

I think Stewart's struggles to beat a defending player one on one is because he quits moving his feet when they get close to him. If he would just keep his feet moving he could probably in more of those contests. They got to work with him so it becomes habit since his natural reaction is to slow down.

Actually all of those numbers are insane, and looking at that Elliot has been insane on the road, which is even more impressive, IMO.

Halak had no chane. Shattenkirk and Nichol were in the crease, but allowed Boll to get his stick on the puck and pop it in.
