Your 2011 - 2012 Carolina Hurricanes begin winding down another season.

The Hurricanes are headed into the offseason without a playoff spot (obviously), but with big intentions in said offseason.
Muller has committed to Boucher in net tonight (the last time the Canes and Devils played, December 26, Cam Ward scored a goal.)
Projected starters coming up later, if I remember. Feel free to make your own fun today. The weather may curtail my tailgating, which brings out my S.A.D. (seasonal affective disorder).

I just can't seem to muster up much for tonight's game. I guess I got the end of the season and not going to the playoffs yet again blues. And as much as I like Muller and really do think (hope) that next year will be better, I'm tired of always having to wait for next season.
I'm already in full Predators bandwagon mode, but I'm also working this game tonight, so I can't just ignore it. Here's hoping the Hurricanes put up a good fight and don't embarrass themselves over the last 4 games.

My thoughts exactly. While there's nothing at stake tonight but one or two points in a non-playoff season for us, I hope that the guys are sufficiently motivated to at least make NJ clinch somewhere else.
The reason I say Chicago is because the guy I play NHL12 with nearly every day is a big Blackhawks fans. Therefore...I'm fond of the Blackhawks. The Blues intrigue me, and I've always liked Nashville.
I guess if it would probably go like this if I had to rank St. Louis and Nashville
Chicago
Nashville
St. Louis
Though it would be fantastic to see St. Louis win it all after the turnaround that Hitchcock has brought upon them.
The only team in the East that I actually like is Philly right now (though that changes each season honestly). I have no problem with Ottawa. The rest...ehh.
On another note, someone made t-shirts of Bryan Allen's goal celebration, which I completely forgot about ordering, but it just came in the mail. I lol'd when I opened it.

Yeah only game that has potential left this season is possibly trolling the Panthers in a bit of revenge for the end of the 2008 season. But other then that, yeah, nothing left to care about. Just don't suck.

If the Sharks don't make it, I've decided to bandwagon the Kings in the playoffs for the simple fact that the greatest Connecticut born player in history, Jonathan Quick is on their team.
In the West, I'd go for Detroit, Phoenix and the Kings in that order. In the east, I guess (gulp) Pittsburgh would be my top choice if I had to pick one.
If Vancouver makes it to the final again, I'm pretty much going to have to root for any team in the east over them though.
9 is "unofficially" retired on the Canes because of Gordie Howe playing for the Whalers way back in the day. I doubt they'd make an exception for Parise if he did sign here.
