Keith Olbermann **** canned

Maybe this should go into the politics forum, but he's a talk show host in general ... So I believe it should stay here

Man, he used to be really good on Sportscenter, what happened to this guy ? Think he was better than he was ? Read the press clippings ?

He's an ultra-liberal jerk.

But he is a big baseball expert though. Stick to sports boss

Olbermann is a nut, Spitzer is better in so many ways. Keith was good on Sportscenter though.

I liked him as a sports guy. Not so much as a political commentator

Good, hopefully Rush is the next insufferable air bag to go.

If you consider Olbermann to the left as Stephen Colbert is to the right, than he can actually be pretty funny.

He's an incredibly smart guy, and can be very eloquent at times, but it's obvious now he's just gotten too full of himself.

Never liked him, agree with him on just about every issue, can't stand listening to him rant and rave. And by the available reports it appears he was an a-hole to work with. What a surprise!

I think he's an interesting speaker (wand that's part of the reason he was fun on sports broadcasts) but is he ever full of himself.

I remember one time I was looking through a bookstore and happened to find a book of his. When I was browsing through it, it was all negative attacks. When he had countdown, he ended every show with some dumb bit where he insulted someone every day, he compiled them all into a book. Jerk

Yeah, but old people die. Eventually his listener base will erode - or die off - to the point where it's no longer profitable to have him on the air. His average listener is very old.

I used to like Olbermann because he was the only person on "MSM", if you could call MSNBC that at the time, calling out the Bush Admin for their BS.

Eventually he just kept portraying every issue as if it were on the same level. You can't scream from the mountain tops about spilled milk every day and expect to be taken seriously.

Apparently Abe Lincoln loved that song, and as soon as the war was over he requested it be played because he could listen to it without guilt.

For a redneck cheesy 19th century song, it really is quite good.

Not before time, but I wouldn't make the mistake of thinking he's gone forever. Rush has gone through a couple reincarnations too IIRC. A lot of your big media blow-hards have a way of embarrassing themselves over time, taking a little while off, and re-surfacing in another similar environment, usually for another company.

Olbermann's a tool.

I would say he should have stuck to sports, but he was even more insufferable on Sunday Night Football.
