To anyone who wants to watch tonight, I STRONGLY recommend you just buy the PPV.
Every year people try to watch the Wrestlemania streams, and then they constantly ***** when the streams keep getting shut down.
Seriously, just order it. It will be well worth it.
Agreed. I'll usually watch the streams for some of the other interesting PPV's, but for Wrestlemania it's always worth buying. Get it in HD, nice big screen TV, some nachos and enjoy. This is the Super Bowl of Sports Entertainment.
The one thing I am certain of is that Daniel Bryan's chick is dumping his ass tonight.
I disagree. I feel it will happen but today is too early. She has just started winning with him being her "coach". They stay together until she loses badly to Beth or she wins and becomes as over the top in her celebrations as him claiming she does not need him anymore.
For the last few PPV's since I've started watching WWE again I haven't had any problems with streams but lately my Comcast internet has been rather crappy and cost me the end of the Elimination Chamber this year so I don't want to risk it going out during one of the big matches tonight.
Once in a Lifetime
John Cena vs. The Rock
Winner: Disqualification. Neither guy can win this match outright.
Hell in a Cell with Shawn Michaels as Special Referee
The Undertaker vs. Triple H
Winner: The Undertaker with Michaels costing HHH the match
WWE Championship
CM Punk (c) vs. Chris Jericho
Winner: Punk
World Heavyweight Championship
Daniel Bryan (c) vs. Sheamus
Winner: Sheamus, Fella
Team Johnny vs. Team Teddy
Winner: Team Teddy
Intercontinental Championship
Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Big Show
Winner: Big Show, finally ending Cody's championship run
Randy Orton vs. Kane
Winner: Kane
Kelly Kelly & Maria Menounos vs. Beth Phoenix & Eve
Winner: Ummm...what? Who?
Triple Threat WWE Tag Team Championship Match
Epico & Primo (c) vs. The Usos vs. Tyson Kidd & Justin Gabriel
Winner: Epico and Primo retain, to lose them to R-Truth and Kofi
I would buy this if I had friends who watched wrestling. I don't know a single person who still watches. I would gleefully chip in 20 bucks to watch, but ~$80? No thanks.
Rock's never won the Main Event at Wrestlemania? Can't be the best of all time without having done that. However, for all those who claim Rock doesn't care about the business...he's never won the Main Event at Wrestlemania. Which means he's always been willing to put over people. Putting Cena over would give him the credibility so many people think he richly deserves. Or doesn't. He's lost to the Miz (not clean) and Randy Orton, and has beaten Triple H and Shawn Michaels. This match serves no purpose to either the Rock or Cena for the year-long build up other than to legitimize Cena's career, and do so in the Rock's home town.
Winner: John Cena
Rooting Interest: The Rock
End of an Era, Hell in a Cell with Shawn Michaels as special guest referee
The Undertaker vs. Triple H
To me, it makes no sense to have Michaels lose twice, only to have Triple H win when he himself had two other chances. And set a standard that will never be broken and allow the Undertaker to keep hold of a legacy that will be his to own forever. Also, Shawn Michaels stays out of the whole thing.
Prediction: The Undertaker
Rooting Interest: The Undertaker
WWE Championship, "Best in the World"
CM Punk (c) vs. Chris Jericho
To me, it would make the company look weak if Jericho comes back in off leaving the company under his own volition and then come back and win the title. CM Punk also deserves this, in what would be a main even in any other year
Winner: CM Punk
Rooting Interest: CM Punk (I don't hate Jericho, but he didn't show up in Philly.)
World Heavyweight Championship
Bryan Danielson (c) vs. Sheamus
Rare anymore than neither title changes hands at a PPV, let alone Wrestlemania
Prediction: Sheamus
Rooting Interest: Bryan Danielson (Again, don't hate Sheamus, but I just like Danielson more)
Tag Team Match for Full Control of Both Brands, Which Don't Really Exist Anymore
Team Johnny vs. Team Teddy
Teddy's run his course, and sounds like he wants some time off. CM Punk made Laurinaitis by uttering his name during a work-shoot.
Prediction: Team Johnny (Dolph Ziggler pins Santino)
Rooting Interest: Don't Care.
WWE Intercontential Championship
Cody Rhodes (c) vs. The Big Show
The only thing that makes sense is for Rhodes to keep the title, and hope it actually means something again. The Big Show sucks, and won't do that.
Prediction: Cody Rhodes
Rooting Interest: Cody Rhodes
Divas Tag Team Match
Maria Menudos and Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix and Eve Torres
They don't have a female celebrity waste her time by showing up and having her lose.
Prediction: Maria Menudos and Kelly Kelly (Menudos pins Eve)
Rooting Interest: That our plumbing doesn't get backed up by the time everyone in the room is done using it.
Plain Old Match
Randy Orton vs. Kane
Filler with decent names
Prediction: Randy Orton
Rooting Interest: Orton I guess
Triple Threat Tag Team Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship
Primo & Epico (c) vs. Justin Gabriel & Tyson Kidd vs. The Usos
Newly created tag team in their first match for the title. Sounds good enough for straps no one cares about anymore.
Prediction: Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd
Rooting Interest: Justin Gabriel's career
I expect Punk-Jericho will have a clean finish with Jericho going over. Undertaker-HHH and Rock-Cena are likely to have screwy finishes in order to keep everybody looking strong and to set up rematches, keep UT's streak alive, etc...
