Radulov

Has been making a name for himself at the QMJHL vs Russia series. Found a video on TSN that has some highlights:

Click on the video link labled McGuire Analysis. You've got to register.

Two straight games as one of the dominant players on the ice....The pick keeps looking better and better as the months fly by. Good job Poile! 4 goals, 2 assists in two games.....You know your doing good when Mcguire takes a segment out of his time on Canadian analysis to heap praise on you!

I don't think he's goin to be the next Ruutu.

He was cleary the best skater in the 2 games. He loves to have the puck and he's not shy about trying to go around people.

His shot is something else. I can see why he was pegged with having the 3rd most scoring potential going into last years draft.

He looked a little small out there though. He doesn't look 6"1 185.

He reminds me NOTHING of Tuomo Ruutu. Alex Bourret(2005 eligible) reminds me of Tuomo Ruutu.

From watching both games it was nice to see Radulov as the best player on the ice. Considering Steven Dixon, Steve Bernier, MA Pouliot, Guillaume Latendresse, Dany Roussin were all on the other side of the ice.

Radulov, I remember from all the draft previews, was supposed to work on his skating. I didn't see any problem. The kid has deceptive speed, can puckhandle, goes all out, all the time. Great shot and from what I can tell a very good attitude. Seems very passionate about winning.

If I were going back in time to draft...the rankings would be like this....

Ovechkin
Malkin
Barker
Schremp
Radulov
Montoya
Meszaros
Picard
Ladd
AJ Thelen

I also don't see the Tuomo Ruutu comparison. He reminds me more of a young Alex Mogilny.

he was always active on ice ...
playing hard on ice .. delivering nice hits and creating chance .. he's also really fast and has a great shot..
anyway.. i saw Ruutu in him maybe you disagree with me but i can tell you that he's as determined as ruutu to win.. it was easy to notice , what a great player he'll be !!

Radulov is never going to destroy someone with a big hit like Ruutu. The comparison is off.

I saw Ruutu in Chicago hit an LA King so hard that they gave him a penalty for a clean hit. Radulov isn't that physical.

(And for those of you that didn't recognize the name change...I am no longer a writer for HF. I will still come around and post btw, since I have had opportunity to follow your prospects. And I am sorry that I didn't get more articles in, due to my involvement in the HF Org rankings and HF Top 50, I couldn't fit more in. Hopefully the next writer will have the ability to do more.)
