Calgary Flames Yardsale

I have a feeling a lot of guys will be getting moved and staff getting fired after missing the playoffs again. Here are the guys that I could see moving:
-Iginla
-Kipprusoff
-Giordano
-Bouwmeester
-Tanguay
-Cammalleri
-Glencross
-Stajan

What offers would your team make for these players?

I have a feeling that if Crawford/Emery can't get it done in the playoffs Chicago will go after Kipper.

Giving Feaster only one year to prove himself is not fair. I'll give him 1 more year to make the playoffs before he gets fired which still wouldn't be long enough.

I agree that there should be a total and complete rebuild in Calgary. As Mike Holmes used to say on his show, "IT's ALL GOTTA GO!"

With that being said I wonder if the current ownership group understands the need for such a radical response to what's been happening. Are they going to settle for some minor tinkering or a Burkie Faux-build? Are they going to stay with a win-now mindset?

To be more specific to the lists here, is Feaster going to be able to move players like Iggy and Kipper? Are the fans going to want to see players like Glencross go? Are they going to be happy with picks and prospects coming the other way?

It will be interesting to see how all of this shakes down in the next few weeks and months.

Glencross, Giordano, Cammalleri, and Tanguay are the kind of players you want to hang on to during a rebuild. They can bear the burden of playing against the oppositions top players and they won't be useless by the time the rebuild/retool is over.

I dunno Tanguay will be getting up there in a couple more years, I would think that he will not be a top 6 by the next solid playoff run.

Seeing Iginla or Kiprusoff in anything but a Flames jersey would be surreal... Not sure I'm ready for it.

I think Calgary will go hard after Suter and subsequently try and move Bouwmeester.

Tanguay is only 32 and his best asset is his hockey IQ. He thinks the game on a level that other Flames players simply can't match. That aspect of a player's game doesn't really diminish with age.

Just because a player is 30+ doesn't mean you automatically trade him.

If Suter makes it to FA, I don't see him signing on Calgary of all places. He will have much better options at similar dollar amounts.

I doubt he makes it though. Nashville has to re-sign him.

Some of the players have bad contracts. With the CBA expiring in 5 months, good luck moving them for just young players and picks.

Acquire defenseman. Trade all depth. Same thing happened with Phaneuf.

I honestly think the Flames don't know what to do. Last time they made the playoffs was 2009 and their run didn't last long at all. They have missed the playoffs in all subsequent seasons, and I think it's time for a total rebuild.

With that being said, we'd love Iginla and/or Kipper in an Indian head uniform.

Islanders would be interested in Bouwmeester, getting him to waive his NTC would be tough.

What is his value?

Isles should not be interested in JayBo. He's as soft as butter.

Why would a playoff team want to trade the pieces that make them a playoff team to a non-playoff team for the pieces that make them a non-playoff team? Even if they did want to do something like that, why would they throw very good picks in on top of the deal?

At worst he is a solid number 2 I think he is still a number 1 defenseman, Maybe Grabner+?

Nino+?

I think Grabner has more value and can fetch a dman like Yandle in a package, but I might be dreaming.

Streit-Yandle
Bouwmeester-Hamonic
Donovan/de Haan-Andrew MacDonald

Edit: Reunite Nino with Sven, plus with all of you fowards getting up their in age, he could help with the youth movement, if Feaster decides to rebuild.
