I suspect his intangibles are the strong point, although being the team leader in all offensive categories makes you wonder if the team just wasn't very offensive.
Team captain, kills penalties, and judging by his PIM he fights also.
I remember watching him a few years back when Duchene was on the Battalion - he is the perfect example of how a guy can just keep developing.
Honestly? I see him turning into a Tom Fitzgerald clone, will probably spend about 4-5 years with the Marlies, if not more, and will be a bottom 6, PK specialist. Kid has tons of heart.

Why would you bother asking when you quote 3 people that said he was drafted. the fact he's playing in the OHL and is 19 further helps the fact he's not a free wallet.
Probably maxes out as a 3rd liner (I've honestly only seen him a couple times, so I may be underestimating his skill-set, but that seems to be the consensus), but he's put together a pretty impressive season point-wise after seeming to stagnate offensively a bit.
Just about point per game this year, which isn't particularly impressive on the surface, but 0.54 goals/game put him tied for 11th in goals in the OHL. Brampton was the 5th lowest scoring OHL team, so he wasn't exactly getting help from his teammates.
I wonder if he'll get a game or two in for the Marlies or the Royals?
I wouldn't be very surprised if he ends up back in the OHL for an OA year simply because of our prospect depth next year, but I think he'll at least end up in the ECHL next year. If he's going be groomed as a bottom-6 player I think he needs to adapt to the physicality of the pro leagues now.
Curious to see if Nicholls gets signed... He's been very impressive for a 7th rounder and I've liked him in the couple opportunities I've had to see him, though he needs to work on his skating a bit.
His points and goals weren't particularly impressive by themselves but when you take into account their scoring, it's pretty impressive.
This was the first time in three seasons that any player on the Battalion has topped 50 points, and only the second time that someone's topped 30 goals.
Carrick has been top 3 in team scoring for the past three years, which in itself is pretty impressive, and now he was clearly the best offensive player they had. Plus the 100 plus PIM's shows he plays with a nice intensity.
