Sabres @ Leafs | Leafs win?

Yes, yes we did.

On the positive, we hurt Buffalo's playoff chances...

Anything that hurts Buffalo's playoff chances makes me happy, so I'll take it

Montreal and Tampa have to win, not banking on Minnesota.

Come on Montreal, win it in overtime. Please!

Great game by Kessel defensively though.

What a last shift by him; must've made Carlyle real happy.

And people say this guy doesn't care

If we played with that much effort through February, we'd be gearing up for the first party since 2004.

Sigh.

Although, I can honestly say, the Sabres played pretty horrible tonight.

Hopefully one of Reimer, Gustavsson and Scrivens (all of which can't clear a puck very well) will have a breakout season.

One positive I saw was the Leafs were stronger on the cycle, but the exact same problems are still there defensively. I don't see us losing to Tampa either, this team is like Jekyll and Hyde.

Kessel saved the pass across, and he was the only one to get the puck out at the end there, and then he went and beat everyone to the puck in the last second before all this.

Maybe Carlyle is getting through to him? Either way, I hope we see that from him next season; great game from the kid.
