I'm hoping to see another surge from the Wings, similar to the one against Columbus on Monday. They have an opportunity to regain 4th place and have a lot of questions to answer before starting the playoffs.
Good move scratching White for tonight. He's been one of our weaker defenseman lately and another good move moving Nyquist up to the top 6. Now for the love of god, Mike, put him on the PP.
Got a gift last night with Chicago winning over Nashville in regulation...4th place is theirs if they want it.
Maybe we want to go down to 6? (I know highly unlikely. I doubt we've been losing games to get to 6. We tried to win but still lost)
Not really sure if we want to face Preds or Hawks even if we have home ice.
Facing 3rd seed without home ice might be easier than 5th seed with home ice

I'll take the Kings over Nashville in a heartbeat. San Jose I'm not so sure about...
I can guarantee you Datsyuk and Nyquist will molest everyone today and Nyquist will secure his spot on the top line for playoffs. When Datsyuk plays with him it's just brilliant. Sweet passing, nice moves, everything! 5-1 Wings. Datsyuk x2, Nyquist, Zetterberg, and Lidstrom with the goals. Versteeg against us.

In theory, you're not far off. Do you want Nashville or a team out of the Pacific? As long as it isn't the Sharks, I wouldn't mind the 6th seed going against Dallas or LA but I would worry about facing Quick. If you survive the first round as a 4th, 5th or 6th seed, odds are you'll be on the road in the second round anyway...likely against Vancouver or St. Louis. I think it's really about how difficult of a first round series do you want.
I'd want the 4th seed just for the strange chance that all 3 top seeds eat it in the first round and then they'd be the top remaining seed and they'd have home ice advantage. Or, if only two of the top 3 go down, you're assured of hosting the second round series as the second best team remaining. If you're 6th, you're pretty much the road team all the way to the end but facing the Pacific winner is a better opening round draw than facing Nashville.
I guess I'm saying finish either 4th or 6th...5th is certain doom.
I guess I could watch this one. I really hope they aren't tanking for the 6th seed. The Cats haven't been good on the road so I'm hopeful yet not confident. Dats and Gus need to prevail. Go Wings!
