well the terrible road record is one reason.

Picking playoff matches like that is a bad idea in general.

Canucks will lose the last two games to CGY and EDM, and go to the SCF like they did last year when they lost the last two regular season games to EDM, I believe it was.

Presidents trophy would be nice, but it puts more pressure on the team IMO. First in the west is more important, especially with the possibility of playing the blues in the wcf.

The Oilers faithful will chant "first round ex-it" like they did last year.

We'll get the best of them when we parade the Cup down Whyte Avenue for a laugh.

Just reflecting on the bad old days of the 1970's and 1980's.

I think Vancouver will win the President's Trophy. The Ranger's schedule is just too tough. They'll lose another one in there.

Its funny, I think there is still a little bit of a perception that the Canucks are underachieving, and they're the favorite (in my mind) to win the President's Cup.

I take that as a sign that the playoffs just need to start.

(Edit to clarify: I don't think the Canucks ARE underachieving. Just that people's expectations are fickle.)

will pass on worrying about the PT, hope Rangers beat the bruins, but it sure looks given that Ott will play Bost int he first round ...doesn't that kill the Hab fans to have to cheer for Ott?

As I said earlier, if we beat St L its pretty much a given that we have home ice all the way.

1-1 in the 2nd period for Boston and NYR.

Edit: Boston leads 2-1 w/ 5mins left in the 2nd.

Thank the Bruins for winning on their boards and it's followed by numerous posts about how the Presidents Trophy is all we can win this year, we have no chance of making it to the Finals, etc., etc.

Sore winners indeed.

They act like they've won the Cup 5 times in the last ten seasons.

When the entire population consists of rats, is it an infestation or just a rat colony? (jk, most Bruins posters are fine)

I just wanted to see what would happen if I thanked them for a win. Got what I expected.

They are sad cause they're not in the running for the PT 2 years in a row. Cup or not it's still another banner up in the rafters.

Team will have pressure on them regardless, but I agree, I don't really care for the PT.
