Subban or Gardiner

Two Simple question
Wondering who is the better player.
Who would you rather have.

Subban of the last 20-30 games, no doubt and by a good margin. Early season Subban... Err... Who knows.

Definitely Subban on both counts. Gardiner has done a good job raising his profile this season, but Subban has rounded himself into a great defenseman in the past few months and has tons of untapped potential. Both players were considered pretty raw when drafted, it is nice to see them both round out their games since.

Gardiner looks like he has higher upside. Need to see another year from him though. God is he good though. One of the best skaters I've ever seen and has just unreal poise.

He also is a class act unlike subban

To answer your questions Subban is better right now.

Like I said I'd need to see another year from gardiner but I'd probably rather have him.

I'm a Habs fan voting Subban on both accounts, but I would take Gardiner on my team if I could as well.

Subban has Norris Calibre upside, Gardiner has 1st pairing upside. BIG difference.

Subban better player, and I'd take him on my team.

Can you imagine a Richards-Subban combo one-timing it from the point? Good lord.

I'm a big Subban fan, but he has done NOTHING to be considered a "Norris calibre" upside type of defenseman. Let's see a full season of great hockey out of him before we label him like the next Bobby Orr.

Just stop.

Poll - Subban for now, but could change in future.

Give me Gardiner - Subban has a better shot and more capable physically, but Gardiner is better in every other aspect. His skating and puck poise are markedly superior and while neither player's defensive acumen is where it needs to be Gardiner has real smarts in this regard and I think he'll become a well-rounded defenceman sooner. I like Subban and think the Habs have a real player in him but Gardiner's skill set just has more potential in it IMO. The guy is so slick and poised for a young player.

There isnt one Habs writer who has said otherwise that Subban
doesn't have Norris calibre upside.

Leafs writers and other NHL people including Aaron ward from TSN have compared Gardiner to Scott Niedermayer and Paul Coffey and rave about how he is a special talent. His coaches, both Ron and Randy, have raved about how special of a talent he is.

Honestly if Habs writers are your argument then that is just sad.

How can "upside" and "potential" be anything BUT opinion? Anyway, I chose Subban but both are good.

So the people who watch him, 82 games a year and counting arent the best people to look for opinions from?

oh and btw, LOL Aaron Ward........................

I dont watch a lot of Leafs games, but the ones I did Gardiner was nothing special. I dont get all the hype around that guy.
