You just don't have any right to complain about what happened afterwards. Malkin's been going after Giroux all season, and most Pens fans excused it and encouraged it because it was Malkin showing an "edge". Well, we like that "edge", too.
You live by the sword, you die by the sword. If you want to go after Giroux or Couturier, everyone on your roster is fair game.
That's how the playoffs work, deal with it.
This sums it up. Anyone complaining about classlessness here has lost it. There's no moral high ground This is called playoff hockey between two hated rivals. Its a war, plain and simple.
There are all sorts of reasons and gooning it up isn't the only one.
You can send your 4th line out to rest your top line guys, you can send them out to protect your top line guys (freak injuries occur).
Or maybe even that has been the relative match up you have been using all game (the Bruins often use their 4th line in a checking capacity and they are often eating minutes towards the end of the game).
So you dont think Bilsma did it on purpose? Like I posted earlier. They didnt use that line for over half the third. I wouldnt be surprised Bilsma did that to try and get at Schenn or Briere.
You Flyers fans are clueless. Bylsma didn't put the 4th line on the ice to be goons, he rolls 4 lines every game. Since the game was over he gave them ice time, there has not been one time that I remember where the Penguins put a line on the ice to goon it up...never.
Besides the Penguins 4th line?
Far from it. Skilled 4th liners maybe, but none of them are dirty players. NONE.
Just like the Flyers have always been a team full of goons, right? Sweeping generalizations are fun, aren't they!? Clean hit, Flyers stood up for one of their leaders. Simple as that. Flyers fans clueless? Read some of the responses from Pens fans on here...
