So a legit point is Crying now? I guess after hearing Crosby all the time, expectations are low now.
Even if he really was that opposed to what Bylsma did, he didn't have a throw a frickin tantrum on the ice like a 5 year old. He shoulda stayed calm, and pumped his chest out for winning a huge road win against a rival.
Watching the replay, the hit was clean, but at the time/game speed it looked like Vitale was head hunting so I can see how the flyers players would be upset. He definitely had no intention of playing the puck. Clearly Blysma didn't like his team having their ***** kicked at home so he put out some physical players to make a statement. Boy was that fun to watch.
And Sidney really needs to stop being such a big baby. It's why fans of other teams dislike him so much.
Mad props to Simmonds for fighting the day after taking a puck to the face.
And lol at Asham taking shots at Schenn while the refs were holding on to him.
He could thank refs that they didn't let them go

It was a hard fought game and the hit was clean but after all the chirping and battles throughout the game, if you cant understand why flyers went after Vitale then youve never played hockey before.
I'm fine with it. It's hockey, tough sport.
But tell me one thing! Why all the Flyers fans cry about Asham punched Schenn? You somehow don't see that happens in other games?
I would be fine with the last seconds, even that flyers players went after Vitale, but then, stand there like men, do not whine about anything. You want to fight, then fight. But instead of that, it's Asham this, Vitale that, Engelland this, the whole team that.
We lost, you played better game, move on. Prepare for the Saturday game, it can look like last minutes of this game !
Crosby and Malkin had been hacking and slashing all game long. Crosby gets a push in the back and his panties remain firmly in a wad through the rest of the game. Then the huge clean hit in a game that's out of reach? Yeah, I would have responded just like the Flyers on that one.
Don't like siding with either team, but the Flyers responded justly.
I hate both teams, and it pains me to say this, but the Flyers have been the more upstanding team all year. The Penguins are like poster children for entitlement issues. Malkin retaliates with cheap shots any time he is hit with a hard yet clean body check. Or if someone steals the puck from him and makes him look stupid, he's going to slash and kick and cry. I guess Sid taught him that.
The Flyers are usually (referring to years past) the dirtier team, but this year they really aren't. They are tough, but for the most part they do play the game the right way, and especially their stars do. Absolutely cannot say the same for the Penguins and their stars. Malkin, Crosby, Letang are as whiny and dirty as they come. Letang throws his girlish hair and head back three times a game even if there's no contact to his face. Crosby could've had five slashing penalties today. Malkin could've had 3-4 penalties, easily.
I hope both teams bruise eachother up in the first round.
Once again-the penalty was called, but the fact that the Pens scored a goal and sent the game back to that moment negated the penalty.
The refs called it. The video review said a goal was scored and everything that happened after the goal-including the penalty was treated as if it had never happened.
Stop whining about it.
Whining about it?
People are complaining about a CLEAN HIT to respond to a DIRTY HIT to Crosby.
Who cares if it was called? Who cares it Schenn never plays again over the hit. The fact is it was intentional and it set Pittsburgh off.
They responded in a CLEAN MATTER. They tried to go after Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia lost the fights. They followed it up with THEIR HEAD COACH breaking equipment of the Pittsburgh Penguins organization and THREW IT AT THE PITTSBURGH PLAYERS.
But a clean hit by Vitale is considered taking a run at Briere.
No one here has said that. You're projecting. The hit on Briere was fine. The fact that the "goon" line was on the ice in the last 90 seconds of an obviously losing effort when they hadn't been on the ice for 12 minutes is the problem. I don't REALLY have a problem with it, because I love all the shenanigans.

au contraire...they dislike him because he is the best and jealousy is a MF'er.
