Advice from American Canucks Fans

I'm in China and trying to help my friend set up his bar's satellite package so he can show Canucks games, but we are unable to get CBC. Does anyone have any information on the American broadcast of Canucks' playoff games/how to get it? If not, will Gamecentre show playoff games?

I googled but couldn't really find the information and am pretty technologically incompetent.

Cheers.

I watched a live CBC broadcast in the 2008 playoffs from a bar in Shanghai, so it is possible.

Yes, we arrived there at 7 in the morning. Beerios are disgusting.

Edit: It was game 1 of Pens vs Wings

I think CBC broadcasts their games online. They're restricted to Canada but you could get a Canadian VPN to spoof your IP.

Yes, Canadian VPN is an option but I haven't found one that is stable/fast enough for streaming games.

Just hoping there was an American broadcast, but if not I'll look at other options.

the company is www.cnsat.net

Games will be on NBC Sports (used to be called Versus) or regular NBC

There are literally dozens of pirate streams of each game out there. You can always ask for a link in a GDT.

Gamecenter for $169 per year. All teams, all games, on demand.

There can't be American Canucks fans. We're Canada's team.

Doesn't work if you're trying to get it on a TV in a bar.

Isn't that just regular season?

It's impossible to plug a TV into a computer?

What's the name of the bar? This brings back memories of watching the St. Louis series on my slingbox in Shanghai and running into a couple wearing Canucks t-shirts in the Marriot elevator.

Agh, I don't remember. I do remember that it was near the French Quarter (I believe? I've been to a lot of cities, can't always keep them straight) and that they charged near-North American prices. It was equivalent 10 bucks Canadian for a mediocre pancake breakfast. Expat owner.

Edit: It was called the Big Bamboo.

Double edit: In our dorm at ECNU, I walked out of the shower and I remember being told by my friend that Bourdon had died. Sad. But such is life.

Thanks! I will have to check that out. There's a sports bar I go to when called Malones I'm really in need of a burger but they never show any hockey. It's all soccer, basketball, and F1.
