VanMassenhoven - please NHL, no more....

EVERY game this guy refs is poorly officiated, all around, consistently, watched him multiple games and he sticks out amongst all the officials as being involved in the most poorly officiated games

please NHL, you've had your fun with the guy in the regular season, but I'm pleading, please NO VanMassenhoven in the playoffs, please

thank you

.

There are worse officials, Stephane Auger comes to mind. Crap officiating is just something we have to deal with.

I don't want to sound like a Habs fan talking about Chris Lee but every single time VanMassenhoven does a Bruins game he's blatantly against them.

Auger's the worst guy, but Van Massenhoven's a bum, just like most of them.

I knew this was coming. Bad officiating is the norm these days.

Well that was bad, but I'm pretty sure this is in response to Chara and Brian Boyle going back and forth, then later in the play Shawn Thornton challenged Boyle who backed down, and Thornton got 2 for unsportsmanlike.

if you think vanmassenhoven needs to be questioned about "one" call, then you haven't been watching him... game after game after game, it's torture

As he should, why should Boyle have to fight a goon like Thornotn?

Maybe he just has it out for Thorty? Between this and the penalty called 6 vs 1 in the Vancouver game, Thornton seems to get extra screwed by him.

How was that bad lol he rammed a dude that wasn't even in the play and in the back....

I didn't see the thornton call but normally but if you challenge a dude a he backs down it's normal he gets called for unsportmanlike it's the risk you take

He set a pick AKA interference

He was terrible in another game recently that wasn't the Bruins, but I can't remember now who the teams were. It was an NBS sports game though.

I didn't think the call was that out of line. He let Chara and Boyle get after each other. The missed goalie interference was worse.

Picks are never called. Hitting players away from the puck are generally called. It was a good call.

you are confused, the Ranger set a deliberate pick and interfered with Lucic

but this thread is not about a specific bad call like that, it is a much larger issue about the overall officiating quality and frustration of players trying to play the game

He's trying to say the Ranger should've gotten the penalty, not Lucic.

You read it wrong. The Ranger set a pick, yet a Bruin was called for Interference.
