The Pens and Flyers PR department have to work on getting a photo shoot with those two before the next game. I'm sure Hartnell would be willing to do it.
hogan is a hockey fan. lets get him running through the stands to start the playoffs.
lolwut. It sucks that he had to deal with cancer, but to bring it up to try to prove a point?
I like how light hearted you philly fans are when Harntnel says something sorta clever, then there's a pretty good response and then you're all butt hurt.
I like what Hartnell did, thought it was hilarious. I do however wonder if Avery did it, if there would be a 50 page thread about ho classless he is and how that kind of stuff doesn't belong in the NHL. I'm not even a big Avery fan.

Ah yes, all of us.
I think all of this is brilliant. Hartnell ought to replace Bettman when he retires. The league would rule.

Big difference between Avery and Hartnell. Very big. I don't mind either guy, btw.

Because the response was OK, not nearly as funny as Hartnell clowning the guy. You're really grasping at straws after a bad loss.

he already does a promo for the pens when Malkin scores.
I don't understand why so many people are trying to figure out who "won" this little exchange. Cy Clark has beaten cancer twice...you think he cares if someone makes him look a little foolish? Why is it always a competition with you flyers fans. Someone said someone nice about the guy and you have to follow it up with "but hartnell was wayyyyyy funnier." Its annoying. Just stop.

No, it was the guy who tried to say that Cy's response made Hartnell look foolish. Try reading.
Because it's kind of dumb to brag about that. You don't actually "beat" cancer. He survived it. My father did so, the first time, as well. He should just be happy he was lucky to survive twice, because it has a lot more to do with luck than with physical or mental strength, which is the implication in the comment. It's poor to brag about it like that, IMO, like as if you just have to be tough.
I don't have a problem with him saying it (it's actually not a bad comeback), and I would not be offended as most of my homur is incorrect in some way, but as we are going into the details of evaluating how he's "owning" anyone, as well as the "pro's and con's" of randomly bringing up how you beat cancer, I think it's kind of poor.
I think it was.Honestly whats funny about imitating a fan?. I must have a really weird sense of humour if i think waving a hand isnt that funny.
Yes, you do. A guy dressed as a professional wrester is jawing at a player, and the player uses that wrestler's patented crowd-popping gesture to show him up. That is funny. The tweeting was all right on both sides, not that funny, but a nice sideshow. The "I beat cancer twice" is a fine retort, but it's not anywhere NEAR as funny as seeing Hartnell goofing in person. If you fail to get that, then I would simply argue you don't have a great sense of humor.

.
The term "beating" cancer is commonly used in the USA by cancer survivors

What are you talking about, I really don't care about the loss. Bring on the playoffs, if we're not 1st in the conference which we knew that wasnt happening before this game... 4th/5th I dont think home ice is a big deal to either team here.
Sucks we have to play another useless game before the playoffs start.
