Cmon you must root for a team to win each series, it doesn't meen your a fan of that team its just funner trying to follow a team all the way.
If I had to root for a team it would be any western conference American team except for Chicago. I dislike many of the eastern conference teams like Boston, NYR, Ottawa and Philadelphia so if none them win it's good.
I don't have a problem with most of the teams in the West. I'd be quite happy with Nashville, Phoenix, or St. Louis. I find it hard to root for anyone in the East, though I supposed Florida's not too terrible. I could never, ever root for Pittsburgh, Ottawa, Boston, or Philly. When those teams play against each other, I root for mass carnage.
All depends on the players I select in our playoff pool. I think Detroit, Chicago and L.A. will do well in the west and I think with Lundqvist, the Rangers will go far. I'm sure there won't be many Canucks or Penguins available for me to draft, so I will be hoping for early exits for both.
Buffalo or no one. The other 29 teams can **** off. So, it looks as if I'll once again be watching the playoffs without a rooting interest.
I hear you I respect your love for the sabres but dislike your love for 'hockey'....hockey never ends whether im playin in the summer or am forced to cheer for someone else...its HOCKEY

Watching the NHL playoffs without rooting for anyone means I don't like hockey?
Postseason hockey in the NHL is like no other postseason. The level of play and intensity is really incomparable. Baseball is too slow, football is stop and go and also a one-and-done, and the parity in basketball is so non-existent...your top teams will fight equally, but no 8 seed is making an Edmonton Oilers 05-06 run to the finals.

^^^I reiterate your exact words...and theres my answer to your question...watching the playoffs without an interest generally means yes...you dont care about nhl playoff hockey lol...idk where your going with that statement

Why would I even bother watching if I didn't like hockey? I'm excited for the playoffs. I root for good hockey, not for any team unless it's the Sabres. That's not hard to understand, though you're weirdly having difficulty comprehending it.
I also called the NHL playoffs the "best event in sports" above, but yeah, I don't like hockey. For your sake, I hope you're trolling me. Otherwise, wow...
I've got family living in Nashville and I've been to a number of Preds games as a result. The city rocks, the fans are great, they've got a good hockey team, and I'm looking to relocate there once I finish my masters in about 5 months. Nashville is definitely my #1
After that:
Florida because it would make a lot of people mad
Phoenix because it would make a lot of people mad
Philly because they're a hard team to root against now that Carter, Richards, and Pronger aren't wearing orange. Seriously, lots of likeable guys on that roster.
Capitals because **** the Penguins
St. Louis because they're due and I like Hitchcock

Interesting. I didn't really take time to break it down. Let me do that.
Eh. I just hate the Flyers. I'd certainly never root for them, but you're on to something by alluding to the notion of them not being loaded with guys I loathe.
