Hayes gets into a game for the 1st time in 6-7 games, give or take, and feels the need to prove himself early.
Then Bollig, who probably worries he could lose his spot to Hayes since Hayes is a better player, fights to match what Hayes did.
That said, the Shaw fight was great. This kid just loves to battle. Hopefully he keeps this up for years to come, could be a staple in the Hawks bottom 6 for quite awhile.
Every time I see Wild layers fighting I hope to see Dany Heatley drope gloves..and getting pummeled. But I've never seen such thing. I guess buying Ferrari is fine, but standing for yourself, and your team..NOT. After all he s a "non fighter" and he better let his goons to do the job. What a pansy.
Bollig fights the same way every time. Start righty, tie up and pull off the helmet, switch hands and go for the upper cut as they disengage. Stoner kept tight with him and didn't let him get that off.
I've never seen Daniel Alfredsson get into a fight. He must love smoking the meat flute. "Oh, I'm the captain of the Senators but I'm too chicken **** to drop the gloves."

Why didn't kane stand up for himself instead of sending Bollig out there in the first place? yeah, that's what I thought.
So your defense for Dany running from Bollig is to talk points scored? In a FIGHT THREAD?
There's nothing to "defend" because Heatley's a hockey player. Bollig's a boxer that learned to skate.
Why should Heatley fight someone who's not even good enough for the AHL? It's a joke that he's even being mentioned in this thread. There were THREE fights in this game. None of them involved Heatley.

Reason: Fixed quote + last line not needed..
Lemme see, Heatley slashes Kane (6 in & 40 lbs smaller), gets called on it by someone his own size, shoots his mouth off, and let's Stoner take up for him....Yah, Kane's the wimp.

That's what Stoner is there for, same with Bollig (although Stoner does other things as well). Same size means nothing, when the importance to the team is that far apart.

Yes, Heatley is very important to Wild playoff hopes...Oh wait.
BTW- Heatley and Kane have a bussiness with each other. Ends with...Bollig-Stoner fight. Bollig and Stoner may as well drink beer together after game- they are both hapy, they justified their roster place after all. But, what to think about Kane and Heatley ?
As much as I hate Don Cherry...where are the times when men played hockey ?

Did I say playoffs? If Bollig concusses Heatley, he could be out for parts or all of next year. That would not be smart.
Somehow, Heatley hiding behind Stoner = Heatley being a wuss, but Kane hiding behind Bollig = Kane is being smart. Neither guys are fighters, neither guys fought. I don't see a problem with it.

What if he slips on the ice and break a bone.

If you read my post, you'd know I've critisized Kane as well. I wonder if it was Matt Cooke refusing to go with Bolling. Everyone would call him a "pansy". Buty in Heatley case he is a "non fighter".
If you play in NHL, you need to drop gloves at some point of your career, no matter who you are. Looks like some players earned their right to be a wimp. "Code" my ass.

I could've sworn that this occured during an NHL game. Ok then.
