Who does Edmonton target 32nd overall

Who should the oilers target with their 2nd round pick? Take into consideration if they pick Murray or Grigorenko. Realistically who will be there at 32 for them

I would piss rainbows and candy floss if they managed to take Murray and Samuelsson with the first two picks.

But really any number of combinations of players would probably produce that effect.

Wouldn't be surprised if the oilers take him at 32. Plays in Edmonton already. Just don't know where he would fit in with RNH, gagner and lander in the future. Does he have potential to play 2nd line behind nuge? This makes gagner trade bait

Why is this thread in the prospects forum... you know there's an Oilers forum just two clicks away?

But to answer the question I think a guy like Tervainen could fall to #32 (which I doubt but Finns looove to slip) and would be a great pick pu

I suppose he would battle with Rieder and Pitlick for offensive minutes.

BPA would be Andreas Athanasiou. The kid got amazing hands. If he's gone they should take Oscar Dansk.

I don't think anyone cares who the Oilers take with their 2nd round pick. Head over to the Oilers board.

I'd say take the BGA (goalie) Dubnyk put on a show tonight, but...I don't know....he sat in free agency in my fantasy league all year. He's far from a sure thing. More depth in goal can't hurt in case Bunz doesn't work out. And you can't go wrong...well...with goalies you really can...but Dansk, Subban, and Vasilevsky are all big time players.

BPA. Realistically whoever the Oilers draft in the 2nd round is a few years away. You never know what the team needs will be at that point. Things change so quickly.

Right now it desperately looks like the Oilers need a solid puck moving defenseman on the back-end. But just 3 seasons ago they had:

Souray 53 points
Gilbert 44 points
Grebeshkov 39 points
Visnovsky 31 points (50 games)

This season the best is Jeff Petry at 24. It's crazy how quickly things can change for a team. Drafting for positional need I'm never a big fan of, but it makes sense if you think the player you are getting is going to contribute right away. But if that player is a few years away (like teh 2nd rounder likely will be, or even longer for a goalie) I just think you go with you who think will be the best long term.

Maybe it is a goalie. Maybe it's a d-man. Maybe it's a center or wing.

Henrik Samuelsson cause he will have a crazy season next year and I have a hunch that one of Dansk, Vasilevski, Subban will be there at 62/63rd overall.

Hmm I think you will be dissapointed then.. Would be really dissapointed if the goalies where still there at #62. Havnt seen Samuelsson since he went over to the WHL but he absolutely stunk in the SEL, not even showing promises.. I guess he's been doing good in Edmonton?

Should be Dalton Thrower, trade up if you get a sniff that another team is interested in him.

Samuelsson has been the finishing piece the Oil Kings needed to go on a long playoff run. Oil Kings converted him to a center and he has been very reliable with his play, chipping in some offense here and their. IMO Samuelsson is the ultimate complimentary piece any team should be looking for. Rugged enough to play that way, but skilled enough to play with other skilled players and not look out of place.

As for the Oilers drafting 32nd...I'd be looking the way of a couple of Oil Kings in Samuelsson or Corbett, depending on what they draft with their first rounder.

Haven't seen him play since I live in Montreal, but I trust my friends since they've seen him play and they tell me he's the right piece for the Oilers. Not exactly a #2 center for the Oilers, but will add more grit and offensive depth. But most likely staying with the Oil Kings another 2 years will only help him find that extra gear or two.
