Kopi is much more solid defensively, he plays a much better two-way game. His faceoff percentage is better this year. As long as he, or any other King for that matter, brings those assets to our games, I won't notice the games he misses a point in, and he doesn't have many of those.
GP G A PTs +/- FO%
79 25 47 72 +12 53.8%

He's getting better and better, have patience.

No set time table for return, but he has begun skating and practicing in LA again.

I am so happy he's skating and practicing, take your time Gagne, we miss you, but it's better you don't play a game until you are ready. Even once he's cleared it will take him at least 8-10 games to get his game legs back, it's not an overnight thing.

Cannot wait until he is back in the lineup.

I love a healthy Gagne on this team. But seriously, I think he's done. What' she had? 7 concussions? All it's going to take is one solid hit from a no-name 4th liner and it's over for him.

Before anyone gets mad responding, I'm trying to be realistic here.

I'll be in class for most of the game and I know it'll be a waste. I'll be refreshing nhl.com every 5 min.

Schultz - Whitney
Sutton - Potter
Barker - Teubert

wow...

Barker and Teubert might be the worst D pairing we will see for a long time, and both were former 1st round picks.

Potter is out with a concussion.

Bryan Rodney will be taking his place.

If the Kings don't get 2 points tonight do they even belong in the Playoffs?

If Brown does what he did last time we played them, I think we steamroll them tonight. Hit everything that moves and keep pressing. We cannot try to dangle through them just because we have the better lineup tonight.

Maybe if he didn't dissapear, he would have twice as many points as M. Richards.

OT: Gotta give a polite golf clap to Simmonds 27G thus far this season.

I agree with your assessment.
Should not try and dangle, we should try and preasure all of the AHL players they have in, and they will likely commit turnovers.
Our PP should get alot of looks tonight, I hope we can capotalize.

No, even though they could get in anyway. Edmonton will play hard, but if the Kings come out motivated and driven this will be a win.

Kings have been great at boncing back from games they don't play well in. I expect them to come out rolling tonight.

Snappin necks and cashin checks.

Or if you are Drew Doughty...just cashing checks :/

I really don't mean to sound arrogant, but the dman pairs the Oilers are rolling with tonight might be the worst I have ever seen. Literally.

edit: I'm not referring to the way the dmen are paired up, rather the players themselves.

Teubert-Barker wouldn't even be our 1st pairing in Manch. MAYBE second (who thinks they would beat out Campbell/Muzzin?)

The defense the Oilers will be icing tonight kinda scares me. It is so bad, and when we see mismatches like that (usually involving goaltenders) the Kings like to play down to their competition. We need to come out early hitting everything that moves and get a couple on the board. Go Kings!!!!!!

Tonight would be pretty much the worse time to make Dubnyk look like a Vezina candidate, which the Kings have a tendency to do when facing the goalies on bottom feeders. This team's identity for success is based on physical play and getting the first goal. If we see both tonight from the drop of the puck, then they should roll to an easy 2 points. If they don't come out hitting and crowding the crease, then we'll need Quick to make sure we pull this one out.

Bottom line is Kings have to win tonite. If they loose, they just don't deserve to be in the playoffs! Hey, I've got money involved here from the beginning of the season in a pool with some die-hard Habs fans that are so depicted these days that they can't even watch a hockey game these days. And don't forget no more Expos baseball here in Montreal!

Go Kings Go!

not that this will happen, but if kings lose, then coyotes lose tomorrow, AND dallas beats SJ in OT...

points wise all four teams are tied for 3rd and 9th.
