I'm in. Think we should draft a couple days before the season starts. That way we'll know who's all injured.

The answer to the question is a badoucheka.

I'll play if it's on yahoo. More likely to try to stay interested in the league that way given all my football leagues are on yahoo. If not, I'll have to decline.

I'm definitely in. I already have some leagues on yahoo so if we could do it on that site I'd appreciate it.

I thought that answer would be the Ochosby.

So the answer is not 90% of ESPN's hockey coverage?

i'm down with yahoo i'll get the league set up unless someone else wants to do it and we'll try to hold the draft close to the year.

so this is the other question does everyone want the yahoo setup of c,c,rw,rw,lw,lw,d,d,d,d,g,g,bn,bn,bn,bn or do you want a deeper team of say 3 lines and larger bench so you can pick more rookies?

i'd be down for a bigger bench my self wold love to pick a guy like say scandella and have him surprise best part of hockey is the unexpected like skinner potting 31g's as a rookie

We might want to watch how many slots in total we have. We'll probably have a 16 team league (they allow that right?) so having more than two of any forward slot would basically force people to be picking up a lot of third liners.

I'm in for Yahoo.

If I didn't have to go in and change my starters every day I'd play. That's the #1 reason I can't stand fantasy hockey.

In my 14 team league we do Cx2, RWx2, LWx2, Forwards x3, Dx4, Gx2, Bench x 4 and it's not really a problem.

And that's another thing I like about Yahoo, you can easily set up daily lineups all at once and it saves it all unless you make a trade or drop or pick up someone. I just really like how Yahoo is set up overall.

But you have to go in and do daily lineups for seven days a week. One of these leagues has to be able to automatically do it for you.

Two things:

You don't have to adjust your roster daily. You can set your roster in advance. As long as you don't add/drop/trade a player you can save your setup as far in advance as you'd like. If I were in a league at this moment, I could schedule my entire season right now and come back in April to see how I did.

There is another format option where rosters are set once per week. I've never played it, but it's popular enough that a lot of fantasy advice from the "big" sites actually do specific breakdowns for weekly matchups instead of daily.

We should do a F/D/U/G setup. Currently, finding a quality fantasy LW not named Ovechkin is tough. Center depth is insanely good. I think if we just worried about forwards, defense and goalies that would work out best. Wouldn't require constant tinkering of lineups barring injury.

Maybe something like 6 forwards, 4 defense, 1 utility (F or D) and 2 goalies as starters with a bench that is 5 deep. Just my opinion though.

I'm interested, and I am down with using Yahoo.

If it is gonna be a 16 team league then I think you don't want to go much bigger than what others have mentioned, because it gets pretty spotty in some positions later in in the draft.

I'm in.

I hate yahoo, but it appears I'm the only person on the planet who actually loves ESPN. They've gotten better every single year.

Personal opinion, I'm a much bigger fan of small leagues. Big leagues are 90%+ based on drafting, and if someone can't make the draft....

Food for thought.

I don't know about the drafting comment. The first league I participated in (joint team with my fiancee) was 14 teams and we won it based on free agency and smart play. That was a big league with 3C/3LW/3RW/4D/2G as well.

14 isn't a big league.

I've been in 16, 18 and a 20 person league before, it's brutal... I don't have any fun with them.

14 is on the high end of my sweet spot (I love 12), but I wouldn't consider that a "big" league.

Send a message via Yahoo to Pajicz
I'm surely in. And I'd prefer Yahoo, as I already have my FF teams in there (like many others here).

I thought Yahoo's cap was 16 teams? Was I mistaken on that or were you using a different site?

Depending on how many people we get, maybe we get two leagues going? Like leagues of 8-10 or something rather than 16 or higher? I've only been in 14 team leagues for FH, but I'd be willing to try smaller or bigger ones. Just throwing it out there.

And I don't know how I feel about the using forwards, Defense, and goalies instead of realign forwards into their positions. There are plenty of LWs that are decent. Lucic, Vanek, I believe yahoo has either Datsyuk or Zetterberg listed as a LW for whatever reason. Sure, LWs aren't as deep as C or RW, but there are players out there. That's why I liked the format I listed above with two of each forward position plus an extra three forward slots that could utilize any position. That way you could just throw out five RWs at a time, if you wanted.

I'm more than happy to play in two leagues if we set up two and need the balance as well. If we set up two leagues, we should set up two different game styles. Perhaps one with daily adjustments and one with weekly adjustments?
