Toronto still plays Tampa and Montreal
Anaheim still plays Edmonton and Calgary
Islanders still play Columbus and Winnipeg
Carolina still plays Montreal and Florida
We have the tiebreaker over all the teams we're contending with for 4th overall since we have the fewest number of non-shootout wins. We're not catching Montreal for 3rd overall.
Here's to hoping we can finish tied in pts with the like of Toronto, NY and Anaheim.
We didn't win but I was very impressed and proud of the effort the boys gave tonight. They made the Predators battle for just about every inch of crappy ice out there. I loved the way our defense played; sealing opposing forwards off the puck and out working the Predators rather consistently. That's not easy, the Preds are one of the hardest working teams in the league. I have a full game recap plus a high school hockey update as the state's best U-18 high school players get ready for a national tournament. I also have prospect updates on Tyler Graovac (including a fight video) and Mario Lucia. Enjoy!
He was doing his job, supporting the rush as he's asked to do, before Koivu screwed it up. Not Gilbert's fault, not even Stoner's fault imo. Purely a bad pass into a turnover by Koivu.
This will seem horridly out of context, as will happen when you read the GDT after the game, but I agree 100%. Throw a back pass into someone's skates in the zone? Bad on you Mikko Koivu.
As long as I am in late, what a helluva tip-in by Heater. I am glad our rookies will have a chance to learn from this $%%^&* All Star.
Good game tonight. I watched most of it, but couldn't post. I was impressed with Zucker again, he may turn out to be a very special player for the Wild.
The important thing though is that the team played hard and with passion, but only picked up one point.
I changed it once I realized you were talking post lockout with that picture. Brandner was the big joke of an aquisition for the 03-04 season.
Acquisition? He was a draft pick :p Not really an acquisition when he's sitting in your minors. That was also the same year when Gaborik held out along with Pascal Dupuis.
OH!
We forgot Daigle! We brought him in! WOOT! That was in the midst of grabbing former 1st round busts like Eric Choiunard, Zyuzin...
We also brought in Wiemer, who was decent and then we traded Michalek a year after that. YAY!

Oh God, more obscure Wild players!
Wiemer totally sucked btw, as far as I can remember. I don't recall him being even "half-decent".
