I just had an extended look at Rocco Grimaldi for the first time and the acceleration on this kid is incredible. Combine that with his unbelievable quickness and offensive skill... put it like this, I wouldn't mind seeing him in a Panther uniform next season. Yes, next season, although I know that's not going to happen. The only question is can he stay healthy? If so, comparing him to Martin St Louis is not out of the question, even though I know other teams fan's are going to debunk that with extreme zeal. And also, Corban Knight shows some real promise as well, nice all around game.

I agree with you. After watching him in 2 games this year, you can tell all of his skills are absolutely elite. His teammate, Danny Kristo, was probably the best overall skater in the NCAA last year (quickness, elusiveness, acceleration, top speed, smoothness), and Rocco is better than him in all 5 of those criteria. In two strides he is at full speed. He will come into the zone 1 on 3 and he will get a scoring chance every single time. People worry about his size, I don't think you have to that much with him. The only time you notice it is when he tries to reach for the puck against a big guy, other than that he is absolutely fearless. He even can hit pretty well, extremely strong player.

At the rookie camp last season Rocco was one the kids who stood out along with Hubs, Jugs, and Guds. (Lol)

I think Rocco has a real shot at being a stud in the NHL.

No points for Brickley in Vermont's Hockey East opener against Lowell. 1-1 tie, freshman goaltender Brody Hoffman stops 38 of 39 to earn Vermont a point in his first NCAA game

Last night I listened to the Sea Dogs telecast on the radio. Huberdeau with 2 assists in a shootout win in overtime. Very good game, the Sea dogs made repeated comebacks in this game. They tied it late in the game at 5-5 to send it to overtime. They went scoreless in OT and Hubs got the game winner in the shootout, scoring the only shootout goal.

Yeah I just saw the highlights. This kid is deadly in the shootouts. Yet another reason why he is sooo valuable to the Panthers. Could have used that last season.

Bjugstad had a fantastic weekend, he had tons of scoring chances. Threw some big hits. Rau had a terrific Saturday game. Him, Bjugstad and Isackson have great chemistry already. Minny has scary offensive depth this year. They absolutely walloped Michigan State this weekend, it looks like this could be their year. I think the Bjugey-man has a legit shot at the Hobey this year.

Saint John Sea Dogs vs. Quebec Remparts. Jonathan Huberdeau against Logan Shaw. 3-2 Quebec leads in the second period. Huberdeau with a pp goal thanks to a penalty to Shaw. Shaw no points so far.

Don't go crazy just yet, but Jonathan Racine is quietly having one nice season so far !

This kid is a physical beast and always had a talent ! He is a 20, but he may be proving that he is more than an AHL shutdown defenseman !

Go Racine Go !

Saint John just isn't very good this year. Their amazing two-year run is over, and they will really suffer when the NHL starts up and Huberdeau takes his sticks and skates to South Florida.
