My finals opponent inexplicably dropped Howard because he was DTD in order to "pick up more scoring." I snatched him up just in time for him to post that win on Sunday against Florida, which was just enough of a boost to my GAA and SV% to undo the damage that Ondrej Pavelec did earlier in the week and give me the series win. Yay!

its a semi-complicated keeper league (you can't keep anyone drafted in the first 2 weeks... then depending on where you drafted someone this year, effects what round they count next year (draft spot moves up 2-3 rounds). I drafted Landeskog as my 20th, which would cost a 17th rounder. I traded him to a basement dweller for Nash... Nash didn't suck, but I probably could have won / done better with Landeskog
Edit, it should be noted we tied 6-6.. .i won on the tie break. i was much closer in my losing stats than he was. Oh well, technicalities!
Edit top 3 picks Malkin (first round, 12th overall), Rinne (Second round, 13th overall), Zetterberg (3 round, 36th overall). Made some good trades, Spezza was an 8th round pick, Gaborik a 6th, Bieska a 15th

A little history... We started the 3 keeper per team league back before the 2006-2007 season. I ended up with the 3rd pick. I landed Crosby (Kippy and Ovechkin went 1-2) then i took Malkin in the 2nd round. I was called a homer since he'd never played in the NHL but it has worked out. At the end of Stamkos' rookie year i noticed he started playing better so i drafted him the following year and he has worked out well. This will be my 2nd consecutive championship season.
