I'm trying to rationalize a trip to Florida for a game but it would be expensive

I'm not a fan of going to a game by myself, but if that's what I have to do to go, then I'll do it.

I'm sure the Devils would let you buy your seats if your Dad really wanted to tomorrow.

Idk now though, because we came up with the ingenious plan to get one game through stubhub and the second, well try and see if my uncle whos a Tishman Executive can get us tix to the game. When he can, they're usually clubs too so, we're hoping it works out.

If by some miracle the Devils get past the first round, a big if, the likely 2nd round opponent will be the Rangers.

Pay as they Play is a best route to be guaranteed tickets to the 2nd round because with that matchup, the cheapest seats on stubhub will be over $100.

If our games are Sun/Tues that means we begin the playoffs on Wednesday.

The Pay as they Play option is available to anyone right now for the first two rounds.
It also comes with a food and bev card, $50 or $100 depending on seat locations.

Aside from superstition there is no benefit to wait til the 2nd round to look for tickets if you plan on going to most or all the games.
The benefit is i get to save myself a crap load of money watching the first two rounds on TV and going to a select game or two of rounds 3 and 4 if we get there.

So the parental units are all for playoff tickets since this will be my last year to conveniently have an opportunity to see a Devils game before I go to college in WVU. Now to scout out reasonably priced tickets for 3...

I work Tuesday nights, Thursday nights, Wednesday mornings, Saturday mornings, and Sunday afternoons. Hoping the playoff schedule works in my favor, but I'll be using call outs and switching shifts if necessary.

The Devils don't either, they usually forget to show up.

I am hopeful for night games for all playoff games.

You guys will probably get night games on the weekends especially if you play Florida. NBC always has those afternoon games and with possible matchups like PHI/PIT, NYR/WSH, and some of the Detroit, Chicago, Nashville, and LA combos, it's pretty much known which games they will take. I don't recall any playoff games being in the afternoon unless they're picked up by NBC.

Never buy playoff tickets for Game 1 right when they go on sale*

*unless the opponent is the Flyers or Rangers of course, which it wont be this year.

Stuff like that does not matter until the second/third rounds anyway.

The first round games will sell out, but the prices will not be high unless its a elimination/progression situation.

I did pay 100$ for upper corner seats for Carolina Game 7.

Where the heck did you get them from?

I payed $70 lower level for that game, got em online......and it wasn't a lucky find at the right time by me, there were a ton of them at that price

That whole series was cheap as hell online day before and day of
