That's not a whole lot of hockey played I would say. And that he doesn't contribute a whole lot (not counting his own turnovers) otherwise, I can't see how this comment is facepalm-bad.
Wow...that is weird...the guys who built it, Rick Brochu, I go to college with his daughter and live like 4 dorms down from her. She told me all about it as she noticed I was quite an avid Avs fan.
Don't think it's hate, it's just frustration that he isn't doing more this year. Injuries or no injuries.
I didn't mean it as literal hate, but as people bashing him as a player and his play this year. It has become a constant thing where people complain about his play and expecting him to play like he did last year. Well, he isn't getting the minutes, the avs aren't getting powerplays, and he is playing injured those will combine to a bad year. Plus, we have all seen when he forces his game he plays worse and that's what he is doing.
Basically some on here are doing the same thing they did with Stastny for 2011. Players slump and it is worse when they are young.
I seem to recall the Avs doing this in 2001 aswell in OT. It was the first time hearing that if you pull ur goalie in OT and you lose you dont get the extra point. I think it was to get patrick an extra win? Can someone confirm.
What do you think he's doing out there? Isn't he playing hockey? We get it, he's struggling.

It's not like he's the only one who isn't scoring. O'Reilly obviously helps in other areas like the PK and with his defensive play but he only has 1 goal in his last 13 games. Downie hasn't scored in 16 games. Hejduk has 1 goal in his last 23 games. A lot of people are struggling right now and IMO it's stupid to talk crap about Duchene every single game and before the game is even played.

I think he gets more heat then the rest of the team from people because he was picked with such a high pick and he had a good year last year so there was high expectations this year and and he hasn't really lived up to those expectations.
