I remember when there were complaints of too little penalties this year
sometimes there have been. i am fine with legitimate penalties being called. the calls on callahan (roughing), schenn (boarding) and talbot (high sticking) were complete clown shoes. the brayden schenn boarding call was a fireable offense, it was so bad.
We're not playing that bad, we're creating a lot of chances and we are driving pretty hard to the net. Lundqvist is just playing really good for the Rangers. Giroux had a lot better period in this one. Voracek continues to be hot. Timonen has been better than he's been for a while, maybe it's Coburn that is helping him and not the other way around these days. Hartnell's taking a lot of beating in front of the net. He'll get a goal now in the third. Read and Talbot's been having pretty decent games so far as well.
A quick goal to start the third period, and this is a game again. Please?
I've always been a Coburn fanboy. Not afraid to admit it. But I have to say, with all subjectivity aside; I really like how he's played this season, the last half especially. He's becoming much more consistent and looking like a legit top pairing defenseman.
I'd rather have my goalie going into the playoffs on a roll after a few good games. I think it was a good move.
Not if he gets injured (like he might have on that last goal) and be forced to start Biron in the playoffs.
Let's face it, the Rags aren't going anywhere without Lundqvist, the Flyers have been winning games despite our goalies A LOT this year.
And if Bryz gets injured, at least we have our offense to depend on and Bob who seems to play really well against the Pens.
Wtf are the Rangers going to do if the Queen goes down?
Sorry but I just think this is one of those game you don't start him

"Because the Rangers were already on the PP when Anisimov scored. The goal cancels the initial PP but the infractions that occurred during the play still hold up, hence a 5-3".
No, Kubina and Bourdon both called at 18:02 "after" the third goal, Jagr out of the box 16 seconds later. Both were called on the same play after the goal was scored
Rangers are pretty much in the drivers seat for the cup. Vezina goaltending with tough defense and an offense that makes you pay and a big key here is no injuries.
I respectfully disagree with this.....There is really no such thing as being in the drivers seat when it comes to NHL playoff hockey. The Rangers have dominated the Flyers this season, and mostly because Hank has really played well.Hank is capable of losing a few and losing his edge just like any other NHL goalie. And there are Goalies that are capable of standing on their heads and knocking the Rangers out of the playoffs etc.Injuries, crazy bounces, hit post, bad calls by refs, etc etc can all add another element to a playoff series and make it very interesting....You just never know.
