Turco is not eligible for the playoffs, and Rask is still out. They gave Khudobin a start so he wouldn't be rusty if called upon in the playoffs. Counting on Thomas's health could be risky.

I thought there might have been a reason. I checked his injury status, and he's not on IR, or day to day. I really just wanted to make a bad crack about him.

Honestly he's been laughable for them though. He was with Chicago too. No one can deny he sucks for Boston this year.

i hope larsson draws into the lineup tomorrow. definitely would be smart to get him back in a game right before the playoffs regardless of whether or not hes in the game 1 lineup.

Henrique was definitely played on the team awards, and deboer, robinson and even lou were all in on it

when oates says henrique's name, all of them crack up.

Pretty awesome that they got even the old man to go along with it. Lou often gives off an impression of being a humourless, calculating puppetmaster, probably deliberately so. It's nice to know he's not above messing with his prize rookie for a cheap laugh.

TG pretty much said he is here because Clarkson has a nagging injury and they don't want to play him tomorrow. Don't think he is here for the playoffs at all.

It's not good that Clarkson isn't 100% going into the playoffs.

Parise - a chance to become only player in NHL with a shot on goal in all 82 games this season.

I could only imagine how good Parise would be if his shot wasn't terrible.

Impressive. How often does that happen, I wonder?

I hope he doesn't get a shot on goal the next game. That kinda **** can really add on a few couple hundred K's in free agency

What do Francois Beauchemin, Ilya Kovalchuk and Kris Letang have in common?

@TH2NSTATSGUY - answer. They all lead the league in highest avg time per shift at 59 seconds. I'm sure that will impress a girl at a party

I really hope that Volchenkov and Clarkson get enough rest to be as close to 100% as possible next week.

Josefson will already have a week to heal as well

I hope we're in the hunt long enough for Yayo to come back for playoff games.

gratz to Hedberg on a really good year as our backup and I look forward to him playing in goal and deservedly so if we play the Caps in the 1st round ... ok well it won't happen even if Marty would have finished the year letting in 10+ goals in 2 games or whatever

I can understand the team wanting to start Marty in game #1 but if things go wrong there should be no hesitation to put Hedberg in with his 0.96 GAA vs Washington with a 2-0-0 record

Dude why is almost every post a Marty bashfest? Coming off a shutout followed by a one goal game.

Hope you're not too mad about Buffalo choking, and missing the playoffs.
