I can understand the team wanting to start Marty in game #1 but if things go wrong there should be no hesitation to put Hedberg in with his 0.96 GAA vs Washington with a 2-0-0 record

Moose has played in 22 playoff games in his career, most of them coming in 2001. His record in that small sample size is decent, but nothing spectacular. Saying Marty should have a short leash for Moose to replace him is a ridiculous statement.

Yeah, he says Hedberg should be the playoff starter as if Marty is a postseason choker

Just saw on Devils Videocenter that someone hit all three score-o shots a few months ago. That's ridiculous.

Was at that game. Pure ridiculousness.

Tampa Bay Lightning on a Sunday. St. Louis with the hat trick. All around terrible game except for that guy hitting those shots.

I thought it was a joke when they brought out the extra piece and made the opening on the net miniscule. Not sure if a dime and a puck could have fit through at the same time...

Crazy.

Honestly up until I saw the video, I was convinced that it was a scam and that a puck couldn't fit into the hole.

It literally has millimeters for a margin of error. I don't think Sidney Crosby would be able to hit that shot from 10 feet out, nevermind a random fan from the oppo blue line.

Best part is he completely ****ed up on the first shot. Not sure if the video shows it or not but I remember it being no where NEAR the net.

I was really scared that him scoring was going to put the Devils in bankruptcy.. not sure if they could afford giving him that car

Didn't he miss one? I was at the game too. I swore he missed either his first or second, but got 3 in there.

Yes that was a terrible game especially since I flew up for the weekend to see that. I kept saying to my buddies I was at the game ''He scored more goals than the Devils have today!'' cause it was 2-1 I think going into the 2nd intermission.

If I wanted to see a Marty St Louis hat trick I would go 40 minutes down the road cause they have a great home record! Malone got one too last game! What the hell!

I was mad about that game, but who knows it just might have kept us from finishing 5th. That, the Nilsson shutout, the shootout loss to Toronto. Those don't seem to hurt so much anymore. They were frightening just a couple weeks ago when the Devils were slumping, and hadn't clinched yet.

Just realized this, but look at the prospects we have picked up in the last few drafts , after round 1.

Merrill
Burlon
Henrique
Gelinas
Urbom
Helgeson
Young
Wohlberg
Wedgewood

Not in any order.

We're so due for a second rounder to pan out. It's really quite depressing.

Yeah, but aside from Henrique, we're not entirely sure how any of them will fair in the NHL. Still gotta wait a couple years before we know if this 3-4 year window was successful or not.

Hope you're not too mad about Buffalo choking, and missing the playoffs.

I am disappointed for my son as his team in the EC is Buffalo but he likes Nashville in the WC so I think he is well taken care of there.

In regards to Marty well I just don't think he is close to the goalie he was many years ago. Simple as that.

I have my hopes pinned to Gelinas.

Several are well on their way. Larsson, Henrique, and Josefson all look like quality picks.

Anybody know where Nick P.'s been lately? I haven't seen any new Devils videos on YouTube in a while, unless he's just waiting til the playoff games.

There was never a commitment in the first place.

I am happy that for the most part this article exposes Booker as a sore loser and a low-rate Obama with his buzzwords with no substance.

I am very shocked at how far Booker is going to point fingers away from James and towards the man that gave this city its only attraction.

Edit: before this is deleted for being "politics", it is a Devils issue. It is a shame the uninformed are going to probably side with a politician who is using this issue to deflect pointing fingers away from his own failed intentions. Thankfully the court of law sees through political pandering and focuses on the deal that was signed.

I used to be a supporter of Booker and actually thought of him as a person who could become more than just a Mayor.

If Larsson isn't playing today, then he isn't playing in the playoffs. You gotta get him in a potential confidence-booster game with nothing on the line if you have any hope of putting him back in there this season when the games count again.
