tbh, they do have a lot of experience with the whole tanking thing. They're pretty much experts by now.

That Edmonton game is just horrendous. Edmonton can't get out of their own zone to save their life. LA isn't even that good, the oilers defense is just unreal bad.

Wow this is so pathetic to watch... oilers kept skating to their own blue line then la's next line would steal it and keep it in for seriously at least 4 mins straight... then edmonton comes in finally .. gets nailed loses puck other guy picks it up on edmonton... Gets nailed... this is so bad..

Gotta give some credit to that forecheck. The LA players are giving it all they got. Edmonton players are just stupid.

if you were to ask me what I would take in september, 8th spot in conference or top 5 pick... I'd have said top 5. I was a tanker before the season started actually.
sure, it sucks if the Oils beat us out, but this season has been a smashing success regardless

LOL!!!!!!!!!! that was the worst defense play ever!!! on a 2 on 1 richards was pretty much behind the net and the 1 defense chased richards and left the other guy wide open! all he had to do was slide.. i seriously could of stopped that
2-0 kings

The funny thing is we can still finish below the oilers but we are never this dominated. We are in almost every game, odd how bad our record is.

Oh wow, just realized Stamkos hit 58 goals tonight. He could easily get to 60+ considering Tampa's last few games is against us, the Leafs, the Jets.
With us probably playing Budaj the rest of the season... The Leafs on their what? 3rd? 4th string goalie... I can see him getting over 60
Pretty cool for him, especially since he's only 22 years old

I hope he does, it would be an impressive feat. One that hasn't been done often these past 10 years.

Oilers D - not that great when its healthy - sucks bad now with some injuries. That D should just be dumping it out of their zone. Slam it off the glass, boys! Or, the boards. Oilers forwards are fast enough to track it down in the neutral zone. It's not a pleasant thing to watch, but damn, they are so bad they need to do it.
As bad as our D has been this year, it's never been that bad (except when KaCa play together).

Didn't Ovechkin score 65 a few seasons ago?

"Hasn't been done

Stamkos. Another reason why we need some high, first round picks. Just thought I'd point that out for all the anti-tankers out there.

There is absolutely no way that the Leafs win tonight after upsetting the Sabres last game.
Especially not after the Caps lost last night, which will serve as a huge rally boost for the Sabres to get the 2 points.
Best case scenario is the Leafs get 1 point.

You might want to use a draft other than the 2008 one then. Yakupov is no Stamkos either way, let's hope the supporting cast is better than the one in '08.

He doesn't have to be Stamkos. I'd be happy with a Tavares, Kopitar, Duchene, Price, Seguin calbre player.

Tonight is like a playoff night for the tank.
If 3 of TOR/ANA/MIN/CAR win (in CAR's case, they get a point), our lottery spot is finally confirmed.
Good news for the tank!
JoshuaCooper @JoshuaCooper
Lindback first goalie off. Rinne didn't skate. Looks like Lindback in net tonight
And no Tyler Myers for Buffalo. Go Leafs!

Yeah, he's missed their last 2 games and won't play this week.
Buffalo is a totally different team without Myers and him, their mobility/puck moving ability is dramatically affected.
Toronto can win tonight if Scrivens is solid.
