#80 - 04.03.2012 | New York Rangers @ Philadelphia Flyers | 7:00 PM - MSG 2
THE MATCHUP
GAME #80
April 3rd, 2012
@
(50-22-7) ____________ (46-24-9)
7:00 PM ET
WELLS FARGO CENTER - PHILADELPHIA, PA
MSG 2 | CSN-PH
QUOTES TO NOTE
You don't go into a game thinking about one point. It would have been nice to win.
We all know what's at stake, but we've got three games left in the season to continue what we want to do here.
- Brad Richards
Gaborik is consistent in his preparation, and that's why he's consistent in his results.
He has has scored some big goals for us this year. I am really happy for him.
- Henrik Lundqvist
We played a really good game. They had six scoring chances through a 3-period game and we end up losing. Thomas was the difference.
It’s the type of game, these games against Boston. It’s just that one little mistake and it goes into the net. These are hard games.
- John Tortorella

Sweep them and more importantly clinch. If it goes past tomorrow night and the division isn't clinched, I'm afraid we might be playing for it on Saturday.

We need 1 pt in our next 3, or for Pittsburgh to drop 1 pt in their next 3 to clinch the east.

We better win. As someone said, it'll probably go down to the last game against the Caps if we don't clinch tomorrow. I'll be shocked if Turco doesn't start against the Pens. We can't really on Boston. Better win or at least get a point tomorrow.
Edit: It's worse than I thought they're starting some kid from the AHL against the Pens. Can't rely on the Bruins.

Please win. I want to clinch with a win, but if we make it to OT, I want to see if the team just cheers once they make it to OT or if they will wait to cheer after the game. Do teams even cheer if when they clinch the top spot? I'm so new to this.

Going to be intense from here on out. Very possible I could be devoid of any hair on my head by weeks end.

I had a ponytail when we were first 8 points ahead of Pittsburgh. Now, I look like George Costanza.

They break out in the can-can at center ice.
Anyway, the Flyers will be missing Briere and Grossman. They're banged up. No excuses.

I'd like to see Scott play his last game as a Ranger this game. Sit Mitchell or Feds.

We need more enforcers for the last 3 games. Bring up Deveaux as well.

Another routine win over the Flyers tomorrow. This means that we will let them get ahead, then come back and beat them in heartbreaking fashion again.
