Yeah, the toughest part is the part that the Sabres have to do. We'll see. They might get their chance to control their own destiny, but can they do it without Myers and Ehrhoff, against Boston and Philly? I hope Ryan Miller is doing nothing but getting sleep and laid.

Even if the Sabres win out, they still need WSH to lose one of their remaining two.

Still, Tampa gave me a nice and unexpected birthday present today.

Well, now there's this problem:

Well, if the #Caps lose & Florida beats Winnipeg tomorrow, suddenly the Panthers will have nothing to play for Thurs. If that means anything

And I was just getting ready to curse Stamkos with the curse of a thousand fleas for his utter lack of a backcheck on the Caps second goal.

Holy Christ am I ever rooting for you guys tomorrow. Not because it's the Leafs but because the Sabres deserve it. Kill Toronto. Badly.

Welp, that's a little bit of hope.

Win tomorrow and see where things fall.

They could potentially lose both, if Florida hasn't clinched the Southeast and the Rangers the President's Trophy.

There's a really, really good chance the point we lost to Colorado will be the deciding factor on who clinches. That sucks.

You could do this with a bunch of games but damn if that one doesn't sting the ****ing most... .7 seconds.

I hope somebody hits Mike Weber with their truck if that's the case. I never realized this when I watched it in real time, but Miller makes the save and is deflecting the puck behind the net--where there are no Avalanche players--with only 3.4 seconds left. The game is effectively over when he makes that save.

But, wait, here comes Mike Weber from behind the net after he chased Landeskog back there. And he deflects the puck behind Miller and the rest is history.

Freeze the frames at 1:00 and 1:01 and you'll see it. **** Mike Weber.

That's a post, not Miller (unless I'm missing something). And you can blame pretty much every Sabre on that play.

nope...it bounces off of Miller's left pad and then Weber's skate and goes behind Miller in the goal crease...
