Joey Crabb

If you have NESN, Colorado is playing Boston.

Crabb looks GREAT out there. Colorado is winning 7-2 right now and I think Crabb has at least one goal. He definately looks good.

Cool. This guy doesn't get much fanfare. So, what's the deal here?

Crabb always plays great. The problem with the game is the horrible camera angles from all the away atop world arena.

I've seen him MAYBE 5 times. Not more. I wish I got to see more of his games since he definately seems to be the complete package.

Should be a solid 2nd/3rd liner. He's got the skill, for sure.

i've seen him a few more times and i'm always impressed. he has it all speed a good shot and a mean streak. i think your right he should turn out to be a 2nd/3rd liner. he is at least 4 years away from playing for the rangers though.

how exactly do you figure that he is AT LEAST 4 years away from playing with the Rangers?

one more year of college and a few years with harford. What i should have wrote was he is 4 years away from being a full time ranger. this kid has got to be impressing the rangers managament because he has all the tools. he has another year left in college and he should stay in school and sign a pro contract in 2006.

Maybe because he's seen him play and is being realistic about the timetable unlike you, who thinks every prospect should be Rangers in 2 yrs max.

thank you!

Crabb is talented but he needs time to put it all together. I would like to see him gain some muscle. Crabb is still a raw prospect and it makes no sense to rush him to hartford but the college season is still young maybe in april i'll say something different.

Thanks for the report...Nice to hear that one of our lesser known prospects has a chance to be a good NHL player.

I don't consider Crabb to be the "complete package", but he might work out to be a useful 3rd liner with the ability to contribute offensively on occasion. I'd put Lundmark easily ahead of him in terms of offensive ability, same with Moore, but Crabb probably is a little tougher in terms of willingness to do the work.

I imagine he could be 3rd/4th line 2 way player, I really doubt you can expect anything more out of him. I don't think he has 2nd line potential.

I agree. He brings a lot of energy and effort out there but if he's a second line player than this team is in trouble. He might be a useful third liner, most likely a fringe 3rd/4th if he makes it. But he's not a second line player and i certainly wouldn't call him the complete package.

I too watched the BU/CC game but I didn't see anything from Crabb that screamed top 6 NHL forward to me. He's got heart. I will give him that. But I don't think there's enough of a skillset there to warrant too much excitement. Especially since IMHO he'd have to beef up quite a bit to be able to play an effective game at the NHL level.
