Clarkson vs Ericsson. The care bear moments

That was some real cute hugging there. Never seen a guy hug another guy so hard. Was he trying to squeeze him for the KO?

riveting tale chaps!

Not much of a fight, looks like Ericsson wanted to wrestle more than fight.

Edge Clarkson.

Looks to me like both were tying up and Ericcson was the one who started trying to throw first. Brutal fight and a draw, not sure how you can give anyone an edge in that

He took him down twice and Ericsson's only punches were little jabs with the sweater. Taking on the bigger man I'd give the edge to Clarkson for sure.

Really I was tempted to give it an outright win for Clarkson since he was the only one that seemed intent on fighting.

I don't count holding on or little sweater jabs as points for fights. Take downs, superior positioning, and actually trying to land punches do count.

Quite the hugfest. They should ban them jersey jabs, that's just nonsense. Stand and deliver or don't drop the mitts. Who invented that baloney anyway?

How many fights does Ericsson have? Isn't Clarkson fancy himself a tough guy? Didn't he come barreling off the bench when Kessel was in grave danger (is there any other kind?) because Kessel is a non-fighter? Quite the hypocrite - he'll fit in perfectly with the Leafs.

So.. Ericsson landed 8 or so jabs to the face of Clarkson.

But Clarkson gets an outright win because he tackled him?

It was an absolutely horrible fight. But Ericsson isnt a fighter, and was the only guy who actually put himself into position to throw anythign.

So the ONLY time Clarkson put himself into position to throw a punch was as Ericsson was falling and losing his balance.

Hell, in the photo you can see Clarkson's eyes are closed

Maybe one can say lucky he(Ericsson) did fall.

Clarkson was in position to land a punch had he not fallen, or he would have connected. And this is not good if you are Ericsson.

Again Clarkson had superior positioning, anyone who watches the video and sees this picture would easily conclude this.

BTW Balance is part of being a good fighter, clearly Ericsson does not have good balance.

No one reasonable is arguing, the only issue I have is people actually trying to say Ericsson won the fight for:

1. Sweater jabs that did not connect
2. He fell so he cannot lose a fight(balance is part of winning fights)
3. Both players hugged when it was clear only Clarkson was the only player that wanted to trade

Other than that, I have no issue with anyone,

And the only issue I have with you saying Clarkson won and borderline had a clear edge is

1. Threw about two punches that did not connect (at least some of Ericcsons jabs did)
2. Yeah he fell it happens, doesnt mean a win for Clarkson. Especially when it looks mostly like he fell because CLarkson threw a wild punch that didnt land and sent them both down
3. It was clear Ericcson was looking to rip off Clarksons helmet, when that didnt happen Ericcson was the first one to try to throw anything.

You saying win or clear win for anyone in this fight is what I have a problem with. Thats a no decision and while Ericcson doesnt fight a lot he can handle himself so I wont say Clarkson should be embarrassed by any means, but with a fight card like Clarkson's if thats all you can get going it doesnt look good on ya

The bigger man with 18 career fights compared to Clarkson's 175.

I would say he doesn't like Ericsson's smell.

What's your point? The guy that was 3 inches taller and 20 pounds heavier wanted to hug the entire time

You seem to have a strange obsession with the Leafs.
