I didn't get to post my thoughts about Saturdays game because my Internet was down but one thing I noticed being at the game that after the middle part of the second period Dallas gave up. I thought about it some and I think they went into the game knowing they didn't have to win and quite honestly didn't care if they lost. While it was must win for us. If Dallas loses Saturday which they did but just win tonight they are still a point ahead of us. Problem with that is we didn't see the real Dallas team Saturday. So here s what happens tonight
Dallas scores and early goal gets the crowd pumped. Scores a second before period one ends 2-0 after one
Sharks score midway thru second (Logan) then Dallas scores next 3 between 2nd and third 5-1at this point when burns gets a snapshot then dallas scores on Greiss who is in for Niemi.
Empty better makes it 7-2
Debate starts on Wednesday who should start Thursday Niemi or Greiss but doesn't Matter because the Dallas plan worked ,play soft Saturday SJ gets a little confidence think they have tonight in the bag and Dallas blows them out of the water. Leaving us to beating LA twice to make playoffs and hope for some help.
I can even tell on these boards the confidence most people on here feel towards beating Dallas..you guys will see after tonight
Sharks finish season in9th One point behind Phoenix leading us all to look back at the schedule and see what games we should have pushed a little bit harder in....it's a lock
About to head on down to AAC for the game. Since it is Sharks/Stars, I'll leave you guys with my rant from fb:
Sorry to be uber-patriotic, but this must be said: Sharks fans boo when they sing "stars" in the natl anthem at home gms vs. Dallas. Stars fans yell it at the top of their lungs during the natl anthem at their home games. Um, yeah, CUT IT OUT. Stop putting your silly sports team above our country. It's disrespectful BOTH ways, in my humble opinion. When the National Anthem is being sung, it's all about USA, not Sharks or Stars or any other sports team. Come on people.
