Islanders Shootout line up

I understand that frans will always be taking a shot and JT for the most part is always going to shoot...how about this guy shooting for us???

I know the shot is not reasonable but he does have great stick handling skills and always gets the puck top shelf...

If he did that in a real game the brawlfest that would ensue would be another black eye for this team. And i think were out of eyes.

Nino does have excellent hands and moves, definitely has NHL hands, just needs to get stronger and become a better skater. Tavares improved his speed, so I'm sure Nino could too. Once he does, he's gonna be a beast in this league.

I can just see Don Cherry having a coronary if this happened in an NHL game

cant put nino in a shootout. that would mean he actually got more than 10 minutes of ice time.

I look at it like this JT has the best hands on the Islanders and Nino is not far off...JT is fast and strong on the puck and nino is not quite there yet but nino hits harder and more often then Tavares...and we do not even give this kid more than 10 minutes a game....they are squandering his ability right now

I seem to recall Nino having 1 shoot-out attempt and was stick handling pretty well, but failed to score.

I think he should be chosen if it went to at least 5 rounds.

Nielson
Tavares
Moulson
Parenteau
(then whomever is playing well)
Nino
Bailey
Okposo
Streit

Would love to see Nino get that shot and am sometimes a little baffled with our choices for shooters after the 2 obvious ones, Frans and Tavares. Didn't Bailey win a shootout in like the 5th round a few weeks ago? Streit and PA are not bad choices as well.

PA has arguably the best shot on the team, im completely fine with him in the shootout. Ive seen him burn goalies glove side plenty of times.

with nabby and frans we have great shoot out numbers regardless of who else shoots. Having moulson, jt and pa definetly pushes nino out of the shoot out line up. He will just have to wait his turn and produce when it does come. A nhl goalie wouldnt have bitten on that chl shootout move.

i dont think he meant to say that pa scores more in SO situation. to frans SO success: he manages to elevate nicely...but he dekes first. pa usually goes glove high without a deke...thats when the shot gets hard (im guessing as i have hardly played hockey).

O okay I have got what he was saying now...but I will say it is prob a good idea to try to deke or confuse the goalie in some type of way...I can not tell you how many times I have seen him skate up the ice not make a move and try to shot top shelf and miss his shot by hitting the goalie or missing the net
