Imagine you got drafted into the NHL...

far fetched for most of us, but if you got drafted into the NHL, what team would you want to be drafted by and why? Personally I'd wanna be drafted by Vancouver (favorite team) or Montreal.

Vancouver (Favourite team)
Canadiens (got a soft spot for them)
Islanders (same as above)
Though i'd be happy with anywhere like Tampa or LA, purely for the weather!

Minnesota Wild. Seems like it'd be pretty easy to get a roster spot over there, and I think I'd look great in their new third jersey.

Vancouver for obvious reasons or Anaheim. I used to love their old cartoon jerseys when I was a kid.

Panthers, make millions playing hockey in total anonymity and get to work on my tan sitting laying on the beach.

Or, Kings/Ducks, near anonymity and still have beach, but with awesome food. Call me Penner.

Either the Canes, my hometown team, or the Habs, simply because as a hockey fan, it would be damned awesome to pull on one of those jerseys with all the history attached.

The team with a system that lets me thrive. If I'm a total boss of a player regardless of the system:

1. Vancouver (Grew up here and favourite team)
2. NYR (Travel reasons and great city to start off a young career)
3. Washington (Travel reasons)

It would have to be

Minnesota (Big fan)
Colorado
Edmonton
but wouldn't mind Toronto (Frattin plays there)
Even if I was a Full time AHL or ECHL player I wouldn't care

But would never want to play for

The Rangers
Stars
or Kings

Well due to injuries I swear it seems like at least a third of the team is AHLers from the houston aeros, so if you can play in the AHL you can play for the wild

And I also really like their green third jerseys

Either the Canes (wouldn't really want to live in the Raleigh area though),Columbus (figure I'd have a shot there if I was any good), Or the Wild (like everyone else, I like their uniforms and color scheme in general)

Wings... not just for the history, but the system... the talent

imagine the drills, conditioning and scrimiging

playing a system that allows you to play competitively until your later years? even with the salary cap, they seem to get the most out of their players from their first to forth line

otherwise, maybe the Flames, as they are the best "Farm team" in the NHL lol

I would love to be drafted by Columbus lol not for the reasons previously mentioned but because I'm horrible enough to never touch NHL ice. That means that I'd get to play right around the corner from my house with the Springfield Falcons. I can literally ride my bike to the MassMutual Center Hooray mediocrity!!

I don't like to travel so I wouldn't do well with all of that, especially considering I'm not, you know, good at hockey

But here would be my preferences:

Minnesota- where I've lived all my life and my family is there, my kid's school is right down the street from the X too

Anaheim - SoCal, low pressure market, and a bunch of big guys to stand up for me as an undersized scorer

Florida - like Anaheim, low pressure market, nice weather, some nice players coming up too

Chicago - seems like a cool city, good young team that has had success, doesn't seem like too high pressure of a market even though they have high expectations now

Wouldn't want to play for:

Toronto/Montreal/Vancouver/New York - way too much pressure, I'm a guy who wouldn't do well with constant scrutiny

Columbus/Phoenix/Islanders - uncertainty of where I'd be living/playing/moving all the time
