Euro is usually more up to date on bio.

Played for Moscow a low scoring team. Top scorer had 12, Leo had 11 in 7 less games.
The KHL site also has him at 5'10", 207 pounds.

And dont think getting rid of Avery has anything to do with why the Rangers are top spot its not they just have been getting better every year with young guys growing and a strong core with D and Goaltending. Avery or not they would be in first and they may even miss him come playoffs.
when did avery say he wants to play here?

Imagine a 3rd or 4th line of Ross - Komarov - Biggs in a few years from now? That would be so much fun to watch

He didn't. Infact, I'm pretty sure Avery has said he'd never play in Toronto. Which is fine by me.

Komarov's latest comments about going to NHL:

link in Finnish:
http://www.mtv3.fi/urheilu/mmjaakiek...taan-myohemmin

"I don't know. We'll see later"

"I still have one year left with Dynamo"

"But if something good comes up there (NHL) then I can start to think"

about the NHL clause Leo answers typical to his sense of humor:

"I guess I should have it...I don't know"

.......so it seems luring him up to Toronto it has to be one way deal for sure. Komarov was the leading forwards in Dynamo's Championship team.

Said he did on the George Strombo show. Said Toronto didn't want him.

You idiots really want Avery on a team where Dion Phaneuf is the captain?

Leo Koma could get third line duties, get rid of LACK and you have some room I guess.

Same was said by Cox last season. I'd like to see Komarov on a 1-way contract in the NHL as much as others but with all the negative contracts we have taking up space in our bottom-6 it'll be difficult to make space for him

Are players on ELC even allowed a 1 way deal?

According Puck Daddy’s Dmitry Chesnokov, it appears that the Maple Leafs are poised to sign 25 year old forward Leo Komarov, their 6th round pick from 2006, to an entry level contract following the World Championships. Last summer, it was believed that the team made a push to sign the young agitator but Komarov respectfully declined, preferring to spend one more season in the KHL. Should these rumors come to fruition, the Leafs will be adding plenty of nastiness and physicality to their bottom six group this fall.

Don't want. Done with the European experiment. Frogren, Wallin, etc. just about had enough of that. Takes too long for them to make the transition to North American hockey.

It's not the same. Leo is drafted by the Leafs and he is an agitator and is a lot more physical than all of LAC combined.

You might argue he's better suited here than in the KHL.

To bad we couldn't keep Fergie on with the scouting team. All his picks are coming to fruition now and are showing why he is a highly regarded hockey mind. He just wasn't a strong 'character' to stand up to MLSE.

They should've trusted their research when they interviewed JFJ and let him tank and draft in '08.

Nothing. It's just become one of the most regularly used phrase of his (annoys me while there is no reason for it to, but it does). Not a single draftee oh his has made any sort of impact.

Just the fact that so many of his draftees have now played even a single game up in the pro-level is pretty impressive considering that many draft picks end up no where. Say what you want about JFJ but you cannot knock him and the team he assembled for drafting. Very impressive, I must say.

I was refering to Burke's draftees.

Holzer, Frattin, Kulemin and Rask were all JFJ, although he traded Rask for Raycroft and it still boils my blood!

Maybe because I bet John Ferguson Jr. probably never saw the kid play before drafting him. Give the credit to the scouts for these sorts of picks, not the GM.

If we'd have kept Rask people would complain we should have drafted James Neal, Paul Statsny or Kris Letang, Jonathon Quick or Keith Yandle instead.

I dont think we would have complained at all with Rask. He's a stud in every way!

At that time of the trade it was considered a pretty decent trade. The Leafs in return got a Calder winning goaltender while having to give up one of their two well regarded goaltender prospects. Really being put in that position it would be hard not to make that trade again. It was hard to see that Raycroft would degrade so quickly in to a apathetic easily exposed ******. Although Boston knew.

Bruins just have the Leafs number in every way possible.
