Pretty lame move by Milbury by apologizing. He said what he thought was right, and now he backs out.
His point got across regardless.
I mean, if you want to make headlines or have a public agenda, it's easy to slam someone on the front page, then throw in an apology a day later on page 35.
Sure and that's your opinion on the subject, the question is why is it now acceptable to critique a player for that but not for what you felt was "punk" behavior?
He's allowed to call him a punk. I don't care what he thinks. But joking about Sid having "35 concussions" isn't right and he deserves the blowback he's getting.
As for Sid's "punk" behavior. He gets slashed and crosschecked just as much in a game. If you think he's a **** b/c he doesn't just take it, then fair enough. Milbury characterizing Sid as a gentleman is a joke to begin with. Of course he's not a gentleman on the ice. It's an ugly sport and he's not a clean player himself. Get over it.

So, Comcast-owned NBC, the same Comcast that owns the Flyers, forced him to apologize?
Sounds like Comcast is a bunch of skirt-wearing, gutless, punks if they won't stand for it and forced him to apologize.
Well to be fair, every network would do the same thing. Not just Comcast. They would also do the same thing even if they didn't own the team. Also, Milbury does not represent Comcast. If he did, they would have fired him a long time ago.

Ovechkin is not the face of the NHL. It's really disgusting. The one time someone has the balls to call a spade a spade on Crosby he's forced to apologize. It's like the ****ing mafia, you can't callout the don. I'm surprised he hasn't been whacked.
funniest post of the day by far .And the best part is its looking like you actually believe in this...
Fact. If you say anything negative about a person or a group of people, people will complain and you will have to make a public "apology." He said what he felt, I don't see why he needs to apologize. It's not like he said something horrible about him.

Not ROOT Pittsburgh.
They are pulling for more plane crash jokes from Steigerwald!
He's apologizing for the concussion jokes, which IMO crossed the line. Joking about something that has ended peoples career is not funny. I'm sure Pronger was not laughing.
