Not sure I like that call. He pushed him away from the goalie.

I'm completely ok with Brookbank taking that penalty. And not because I'm rooting for a loss (because I just can't bring myself to do so), because he stood up for the team and it's about effing time someone did.

Should never have been called a penalty. The "new" NHL has become some sort of amalgam of touch football and soccer. Sad state of affairs.

Hey Ducks fans, Canucks fan here. Just wondering what you think about Fowler? Is he as bad defensively as his +/- in the last 2 years suggests? and does his offensive game make up for that? I know he's only 20 but what do you think of him after 2 seasons? Just curious

Agreed. But I like Brookbankpunishing him and wouldn't be pissed at him regardless.

It's my belief it's mostly terrible puck luck plus the occasional breakdown but otherwise he's solid. MY question is, what do you think of him after watching this game?

Was anyone else amused by Blake and Ebbett checking each other?

Good thing Ducks get the extra point. That will help us for our playoff run...wait...what? We have how many total points?

Luongo gets pulled and the Ducks suddenly forget how to shoot on goal?

He has seemed pretty good in the Canucks vs Ducks games I've watched. Has the occasional lapse, but seems to be there during a lot of offensive chances for the Ducks. Thanks for the input

See? DSP has the right idea. Step on the puck, fall down...let other team have an odd man advantage break away.

There's no way we win in a shootout...right? I don't have a good feeling about losing this game.

Fowler's biggest issue this season has been confidence. When he's confident, he can be the best defenseman on the ice for Anaheim. When he isn't, well, you can see him second guess himself and hesitate. His +/- is very misleading though, and certainly isn't a sign that his defensive game is bad. It can be better, but it's been solid, and he's consistently been matched up against top players on the opposing team(with Beauchemin). Like you said, he'll have the occasional lapse, but really he plays a good positional game, has good stickwork, moves the puck extremely well, and can create chances. He's not the most physical guy, but he doesn't need to be.

Hiller with the genius idea of laying flat on the ice. Well done.
