I can't even make a sarcastic remark about that with Rypien's name in there.

Really? C'mon Panthers. Draft for a need. Should have drafted Stephen Hill. Now we have to wait for the 4th round where we wont find any game changers.

I would have loved to have seen Branch drop down a couple more spots to the Panthers' pick.

But I'm biased and all...

Knowing the Panthers, we probably would have passed on him. Hurney loves to pull picks out of his ass, just like picking an O-lineman when we have no D-linemen or coverage team or receivers.

See, I am okay with drafting Kuechly because, well, he is a tackling machine. But, when you have glaring holes you need to fill in order to field a respectable team and you aren't picking again until round 4, why would you pick up a player who started his college career at community college and has apparently no football sense in one of the only positions you don't have a glaring hole in.

Colts drafting the top two TEs of the draft, Fleener and Allen.

Looks like Luck will be running the EXACT same TE-happy offense he did in college.

And LOL at Eisen when the Jags picked the punter.

That's hilarious. Dude looks like he has a strong leg, but all of a sudden the Panthers' pick doesn't look that bad.

I'm happy that Allen's going to Indy to adjust to the pro game with Luck.

I'm neutral on Thompson going to Cincinnati...

I'm disappointed that the Panthers were two picks behind where Branch went, because Branch is a monster...

And I feel bad for TJ Graham to be going to Buffalo.

Guess this won't be a popular opinion, but I like what we did with our picks here. Kuechly was the bpa and is going to be a stud from day 1. I love TD, but I don't think anyone realistically expects him to stay healthy and Beason probably won't be at 100%. With those injury concerns, our LB's aren't looking too good, especially with losing Connor. Kuechly stabilizes that position, and brings a ton of intangibles that fit perfectly with this team. And if we are fully healthy, we could very well have the best LB's in the league.

I know everyone is clamoring for a DT and WR, but I don't see those positions being as big of a need as DE and CB. We spent two 3rds on DT's last year, and signed a pretty solid FA to go with them. I don't think it's fair to judge them based on a rookie season with no off season. We get Edwards back, have Fua and McClain retuning after some chance for real development, and see what we have. Rivera basically said during the end of season presser that he was fine with how our DT's looked and I trust him as someone who built a number 1 defense with two different schemes in two different cities. And our WR's will be good. Lafell had a good year last year, and made great improvements throughout the season. Gettis will be coming back, and he's a perfect fit for our offense. We still have some productive years from Smitty as well. Factor in Olsen, possibly Shockey, and Barnidge, and I'm not wasting a top pick on the most likely to bust position.

As far as Silatolu goes, I like that pick as well, 1st round talent and the dude is flat out mean. It's never a bad investment to protect Cam, we're back to 2-14 caliber without him. And our OL is not nearly as solid as some think. Gross is getting up there in age, and Otah obviously has his health concerns. Kalil is a rock at center, but our guards are pretty weak. Hangman is a fine starter, but Pollack is pretty suspect, and that's about all we have at guard. Silatolu can make an immediate impact and be a long term starter for us. He was also the bpa, wasn't worth it to reach for a DT who might not be any better than what we currently have. I expect we'll load up on d-linemen and corners with our 5 picks tomorrow.

Spence is a good linebacker... but we really didn't need a linebacker that early, especially not with Hughes and Thompson still on the board as possible NTs.

Gotta think they're not going to look at NT until late in the draft, thinking Hampton has another couple good years left in him. Could probably use some DB depth in that case, or another WR.

PUNTER'S ARE PEOPLE TOO!!!

Anyway, I kinda likey, we got some solid special teams and the best place kicker in the league imo, but punter was always an issue ever since we let Podlesh go to Chicago. Turk was terrible and Harris is old. My GM is completley random, but I think he hits more than he misses and from the videos I've seen of Anger since last nite dude looks like he has a crazy leg. PERENNIAL, All-Pro. Book it

Wouldda loved if we couldda landed Upshaw, but I think I'm okay with André Branch (don't know anything about him). Gonna have to ask Public Enemy what kind of DE we just drafted
